@Comicninja0215 I’d hold on to it for a few years then see if I could break $5 million.

Look at what happens in other collectable areas. So, I have to agree that they can be manipulated.

Also, I agree that the big guns will always be sought after. However, what happens to their value should be interesting to look at in 36 to 48 months.

While some seem to look at the market as never ending they really don't seem tracking with what's happening outside of the hobby and why money is rushing into the comic collectable pond. This isn't because of whatever movie is on the horizon. They seem to believe that the good times will go on forever. I wish them well when the musical chair game stops. <----That comment isn't meant just for the comic collectors.

Sorry, but I’m on the opposite side. I’m holding the book. It’s never going to go down in price, and whether Sups haters like it or not, this is the GRAIL of our hobby.

@Haljordanfan I see what you’re saying, but since selling it would make me a millionaire, I’d sell.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he could immediately put it back up for 4 Million.

@00slim having bought it, you were already a millionaire.

@xkonk I was using to context of “if I acquired it today, somehow”. Like, I’d have to have acquired it some other way: found in a garage sale collection purchase, or something.

If I was already wealthy? I might consider keeping it.

Since the mid eighties when Action 1 broke the records and sold for 50 k and then soon after so did Cap 1, people have speculated the market for rare comics would come crashing in , and to this day they just keep building on that .....I think they are just getting started actually and will be amused to see what the future holds. I am glad to live in a time when people are realizing the rarity and demand for these old comic books and that they are gaining their spot in the sun.....

Also rather certain that other hobbies that have seen exponential growth are fairly safe and have been over the years, be it stamps, rare paintings, or baseball cards. They all went far past comics into the stratosphere for pricing years ago, and they continue to do so.
