At what price point do you ship a slabbed comic in an Amazon envelope instead of a box? Sorry, I know the answer is NEVER but I'm just frustrated with a recent eBay transaction. It was hard for me to return the damaged book in the same envelope, but c'mon man! Why??????

For me it is not so much about price. Everybody I ship to gets a box unless I am sending something to @esaravo...He gets a manilla envelope. ![]() Seriously though, it drives me nuts when I get a comic or slab in an envelope. Luckily, I haven't received a damaged one....yet. |

When I was ordered to refund the hammered cgc book initially, I had to pay a prepaid label. I would put it in a box because I couldn't resubmit in an envelope. I would put postage label on box and let him deal with it if it's not enough postage

@HeinzDad - Been there, received that. Again, got lucky with no damage, but still...Oh, and if you win an auction on ebay by a certain seller who usually touts "Warehouse Find" out of NY, don't be surprised if you receive a raw comic short box and a lot of tape as the shipping box.

If only the Post Office offered free medium sized flat rate Priority Mail boxes that slabs fit in. Well, maybe one day.

They do have free priority large box that will physically fit the slabbed book. I wouldn't do it personally, but a lot of places ship books with this method.

A free 1092 box fits in a free 1095 box. Just add bubble wrap and you are all set to ship. |

When I could get to the US I would use a Medium Flat Rate box inside another Medium Flat Rate box....not as fun as a turducken but it works wonders!!! Would even bring the free boxes back home to Canada to use as our similar size boxes don't really work and weren't free!!! |
