Just received a batch of books today from the other guys.
I won't go into my opinions; but rather will just ask a question.
Is this amount of color rub & corner rub/damage acceptable in a 9.6 in this fine forum's opinions?
Because that's what I got... a 9.6

I'm going to guess that some portion of that was deemed production related.

@Nuffsaid111 - Honestly I'd be pretty pissed if I bought a 9.6 that looked like that. Maybe a 9.2, but it seems like way too much damage for a 9.6.

@esaravo I'm with ya. It puts me in a "delicate" situation if I were to sell it.

I just had a 9.2 come back with no notes. Irritating.

Do you have another copy of the same book with the same color rub?

@DrWatson Unfortunately no. I suppose I can look at others up for sale on Ebay. It's just so darn frustrating when grades are nowhere near one's own opinion. And it really doesn't matter if it's in a positive or negative direction from one's own opinion. When it's off either way it's ... not good

wow...just wow...Ive had books with far less colour rub get hammered hard..like 8.5 and 9 with no other defects on the notes...can't imagine getting a 9.6

Yea... we've all gotten books Im' sure that we don't agree with, but ultimately we accept (in either direction). When and if we choose to sell it, we sell it as graded with no caveats (I am assuming).

This particular issue will be the 1st time I have to put a caveat in the description. I simply cannot let this go for sale without identifying the crap I've shown above. It hurts my head .... lol.

I have continued using both companies, but it's getting close where I simply cannot.

My "agreement rate" which is the range of expectation of a book I send in and receive a grade for that is "within range of my expectations" is roughly 90 - 95% with CBCS.
With CGC is is literally down to 70%.

This one though is a train wreck.
