| Al Simmons is a friend or employee or some other associate of McFarlane’s from whom McFarlane took the name for his character. It’s my understanding that McFarlane used names of people he knew for a lot of his characters. | ||

| I often think of this whenever I see some Bronze ASM titles signed by Stan Lee being mocked or whatever. I always thought a Lee signed ASM #129 made more sense than a Spawn book signed by this Al Simmons. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't a stink made by someone[s] about him signing books? |
