Grading Help NeededQuestions

General Time Frame Question14176

Collector laanxx99 private msg quote post Address this user
I searched through the forum for a specific time frame towards the categories of the books and couldnt find anything. Does anyone know how long a book stays in specific tiers, ie. Processing, grading, etc., before going to shipping? My page shows processing on the main page and then "grading" in orange above the books. I was just curious as this is the first time I have sent anything to CBCS and had heard good things. Thanks for any help!

Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
@laanxx99 there is a Turnaround Time button at the very top of the home page if on a computer. If on mobile, go to home page and on top right corner open menu lines and there will be a drop down for Turnaround Times.

Welcome aboard.

I checked the turnaround time but I was looking for a more specific time period for the different stages. Such as, the book usually stays in the grading stage for one week, etc.

@laanxx99 - that gets very hard to gauge. I have had things in “grading” for several weeks and sometimes only a matter of minutes as it is not necessarily/perfectly updated.

That is what I suspected. Being my first books with CBCS, I wondered if it ran similar to CGC. Sounds like it does. Thanks for your help!

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
Yeah, the actual updates for your order might not match up with how long it takes for that stage to happen. You can pretty safely assume that the majority of the time for any order is "waiting for someone to look at it". The actual grading process can't take very long, and the same for encapsulating, etc. Also, various orders go through in batches, so even if your particular book is graded it sort of hangs out with others until they all go to encapsulation, and so on.

Well... there's long. Then there's longer. Lastly, there's longest.
Sometimes you can get your books back somewhere in between long and longer, and even between longer and longest. Occasionally even beyond longest.

What if I want it short? Or shorter? Perhaps, even shortest? I'd settle for somewhere between short and shorter, perhaps even between shorter and shortest. I cannot settle on before shortest, though. I need quality craftsmanship, after all! lol

Lol. In business there is Speed, Quality and Price. No company can offer all 3 for very long but good companies can offer 2 of the 3 consistently. Most of us opt for Quality and Price from CBCS. But if you want Quality and you want it Shorter than short...I believe that can be had as long as you are willing to pay the Price!

Speaking of the trade-off, you can increase speed by increasing price - pay for fast press/fast pass (or a higher tier of grading).
