Yea, it seems like at the very least it should be selling for $400, but I think I've had this for sale for almost 2 years, with a high offer of $350, which I rejected at the time. I have a lot of grading fees and new books to pay for and my sales have slowed to a crawl the past two months so it's tempting.

@flanders I'm guessing that before it was slabbed you probably would have been happy to get $75 for it? I'm often of the mind to take the quick sale over pursuing top dollar because it frees me up to continue my buying habits guilt-free.

@EbayMafia I actually bought it at MCS. It wasn't titled as a 9.9 and I got it for the cost of a 9.8![]() Either way, I see 9.9's as free money and I don't have a need to have them in my personal collection. I'd rather take the $ and get a 9.8 for far less if I really like the book. |

@flanders - I would hold for higher price. With your CBCS 9,9 and 3 cgc 9.9, it is indeed a rarity and the fmv on gocollect for a 9.8 is at 165. You could probably get over well over 500 for it with a little patience. Good pick up.

why is that issue worth so much. yes yours is a 9.9 but i dont remember it having any importance. wasnt first appearance of anyone. it didnt have an earth shattering moment. it did take place during Infinity war but thats about it.' Have the issue myself and should look over condition |

@power_struggle55 @00slim - I could be wrong but I believe this (Spidey 24) is the first appearance by Spider-man Doppelganger on cover and third appearance overall but also first FULL appearance in general.

@flanders - Did you see my note above regarding "importance"? I believe the High price for (non Newsstand) 9.8 was 4/27/21 at $170. So, a 9.9 is certainly worth well more than the CMV and all time high. Especially considering that 9.9 makes up 1/40th of the total 9.9 & 9.8 CBCS & cgc population.

@flanders I was talking to a buddy of mine that is a CPA in Florida and New York. Although she doesn't do taxes, she said that my household should create a business and that way lessen the tax burden. Her hubby is a comic person as well and they decided they were going to do that and said she would assist my household as well. Apparently it costs less than 100 bux to get a license in Florida. However, as many have stated, it's best to discuss with tax person before implementing. |

@Bronte - Oh to live in FL. Unfortunately for me, in CA, it will cost at least 1,200 year plus varying county fees. @Flanders, aren't you in CA also?

@Bronte I'll talk to someone next year about it. I know I'll have to pay into social security and Medicare as well based on my expected income so it'll probably be a good idea to see what the best option is.

@power_struggle55 - I think it goes: Infinity War #1 (watching/following Spider-man) Fantastic Four #366 (on computer screen) and then Spider-man 24 (Full storyline appearance & First Cover appearance) |

what do we think about Howard the Duck (1977) #1 and #12 (1st Kiss!! - cameo only though) Sell or Hold? I have 2 of each #1 one at 8 one at 8.5....#12 once at 8.5 one at 9 (all ungraded and assuming a press - will likely sell raw at MCS??) I'm inclined to keep one sell one #1 when/if Howard sees Disney action and sell #12 either both now or keep one and sell one when Gene passes ( I know it's crass but that is reality) |
