Just changed a few books from BIN/OBO to the MCS Prime auction - odd thing is with my ASM 299 CBCS 9.8 - it says others are in the Prime auction but it won't let me add mine!

FYI,
ASM 361 CBCS 9.6
Secret Wars 8 news stand CBCS 9.4
and WW #7 witnessed Perez CBCS 9.8 are all available on the October 4th MCS Prime auction

bid them up!!

If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
@KatKomics I don't know how they pick but I think they try to limit the number of the same book that they have in an auction.

So I see that Netflix is coming out with the Sandman.
I have The Sandman 1 - 75 and The Dreaming 1 - 60 in my storage somewhere.
Do you think it is a good time to sell or hold until it gets closer to the release date?

I'd sleep on it.

@MutantMania - if it were me, I would hold till right before the episodes start or possibly roll the dice to see if it is a hit and sell a few episodes in.

So I have a raw first print signed copy of Saga #1. I would say it in the NM range with I think a possible 9.8 if pressed. Would you have it pressed / graded / VSP and then sell or just sell it as is now?
I also did the Beckett online signature review and it came back likely to pass.

If it has a shot at a 9.8, I’d definitely press & grade with VSP.

@00slim @Scifinator Thanks for the input. I am going to double check it again and most likely I will send it off then. This will be my first time using the VSP and the CBCS pressing so hopefully it goes ok.

Made my first myslabs sale today!

The 1% buyer is is added to the purchase and credited to your paypal account. There is a 2% seller fee from myslabs and a 3.6% paypal fee charged to the account. The overall rate for the seller is 4.6% for my transaction. Not bad at all, but it's a bit strange that the paypal fee is higher than what I'm used to (normally 2.9% plus a 30 cent transaction fee) unless they changed this recently.

Update: Looks like my first sale will have to wait. Unfortunately I noticed a crack in the slab before shipping, informed the buyer, and gave a 100% refund. That $120 profit would have been nice.

@EbayMafia either that, or it may have cracked when I dropped a shelf that I was trying to add to my comic room. I know I cracked my Silver Surfer 8 slab, but probably didn't notice the damage to this one, since I only looked to see if the front of the slabs were cracked and this is on the back. Probably not the brightest decision I've ever made. The good news is the books are fine and the damage is only on the label areas.

@flanders - Geez, you crack your SS 8 slab? So sorry to hear that. I am there for you. Send it to me and I will give it a proper burial in my Comics closet after I have it re-coffined I mean re-holdered within a new CBCS encasement.

@JustThatGuy - That seems like a very fair price for you. It’s an expensive key, but it’s not rare or hard to find (just hard to afford).

I have Dr. Strange #50 priced on MCU at a rather high price of $188.80. That’s because of the Secret Defenders formation and…Silver Surfer! Also, imo, it’s a cool cover that may or maynot have hit @SBorock desk😁

Anyway, received offer of $100

Seeing as how only two copies have sold higher, one being a cgc 9.9 @ $125 and the other being a cgc 9.8 Newsstand @ $160, i have decided to accept the $100 offer which will then be the highest price in grade for a direct edition in 9.8.

I personally would absolutely not take $300 given that it sold 7 years ago in that grade for $200.

But if you’re looking to sell & you’re comfortable at that price, totally your call.

Yea, it seems like at the very least it should be selling for $400, but I think I've had this for sale for almost 2 years, with a high offer of $350, which I rejected at the time. I have a lot of grading fees and new books to pay for and my sales have slowed to a crawl the past two months so it's tempting.

@flanders I'm guessing that before it was slabbed you probably would have been happy to get $75 for it? I'm often of the mind to take the quick sale over pursuing top dollar because it frees me up to continue my buying habits guilt-free.

@EbayMafia I actually bought it at MCS. It wasn't titled as a 9.9 and I got it for the cost of a 9.8

Either way, I see 9.9's as free money and I don't have a need to have them in my personal collection. I'd rather take the $ and get a 9.8 for far less if I really like the book.
