Maybe has to do with the rating of ironman Teen and NYX mature content

That's like saying child porn is ok because it's mature content.

@Brian I thought of that too, but it's still a Marvel comic with a young teen girl posed provocatively on the cover, and in my opinion the NYX 4 is more so than the Ironman book. The social climate we are living in now has changed a lot since 2004. I think that has a lot to with it.

@Despain
When NYX was published Marvel owned their characters. But as we all know Disney bought them up. And they will be more conservative with book covers one would think for their image.

@Revelations Excellent point.

@southerncross I guess. Disney is still allowing Deadpool to run rampant, and he's anything but conservative.

@Despain Except Deadpool's movie is done by Fox, not marvel.

This is the problem with Marvel Universe. It's a bit complicated trying to keep up with who owns what properties. Sony still owns Spider-Man and the X-Men still belong to Universal (I think).

Fox owns X-men, Deadpool, and anything that has a mutant in it.

We shall not name those that should not be named.

@Revelations Except I wasn't talking about the movie but the comics.

@Despain I'm pretty sure SoutherCross was talking about the depiction of characters in respect to sexuality.

@Revelations I understand that. I was just saying that Deadpool is pretty lewd in the comics. I know that Fox calls the shots concerning the Deadpool movie and all mutant related films. I was just saying that even in the comics he's a pretty lewd character, and in the comics, Disney has more control. Isn't that what someone said was the reason for the controversy over the latest Ironman cover? Because Disney wants to produce a more wholesome product?

I would disagree. The deadpool comics have gotten extremely less lewd in the last two series.

The writers should just say they are changing the character to 18 and tell anyone who doesn't like the cover to go to hell. But alas we live in a world now run by Disney and no one has any cojones anymore.
