@doog Tenet was nice to watch but left me unsatisfied. Practically all of Nolan's movies have some important point to make and I got nothing from that one.

I just watched I CARE A LOT and it started off great then it got slow. I wonder how many scams like hers are out there?

Agree that it started strong and got slow, but I loved how it ended. Yeah, makes you wonder how many elderly are getting scammed like this.

I watched Season 3 of The Detectorists. A show about two friends who are in a metal detecting club in England. Sounds like it can't be any good or funny, but it is both. You can stream on Amazon and I'm sure other services as well. I used to have Acorn, and the first two seasons were available on that when I had it.

I watched Season 1 of Mr. Mercedes (Free, with ads, on the Peacock app). (It's a few years old, but better late than never.) Unfortunately, season 2 is in the "premium" section and I don't have a paid subscription. Based upon a trilogy of novels by Stephen King. Well written and well acted. The subject matter can be disturbing, so be fair warned.

@Lonestar I've seen all 3 seasons and thoroughly enjoyed them. Brendan Gleeson is excellent and yes subject matter is strong

Finished season 2 of The Boys. Had a much more traditional ending than season 1, in that there are obviously things that can happen in a next season but they wrap the current arc. I was losing a little interest in the first half but it picked up in the second, and some of that stuff was downright prescient. Whenever they get to make a third season, I'll watch it.

Not too much of a difference. Rogue is in it and takes the place of Kitty.

Just watched again X-Men Dark Phoenix which I really enjoyed. I cant believe it was the second lowest grossing X-Men of the series and basically boomed at the box office. There again I likes all the X-men films

Spent the weekend watching Cobra Kai. I never watched any of the Karate Kid movies so it wasn't too nostalgic for me. I was surprised how good Cobra Kai was, but it turned into a teeny bopper series in the 2nd season.

@OGJackster I'm enjoying it. I only caught the last half hour of the pilot on Saturday (after Svengoolie) but it seems good. So far, I like the look of the actor playing Supes.

@Jesse_O I just started watching the 1st episode. I laughed out loud at all of the bulges on the first shots of Superman. That's a lot of padding in weird places. Really looks funny as he's walking!

LOL!! Yeah, they could work on the Superman costume!! But on the other hand, it could be something to help get female viewers. And, to be fair, I'm sure there have been many female actors over the years who have had to sport some weird padding!!
