The wife and I finally got around to watching The Suicide Squad on HBOMAX...man wish we hadn't.

Pretty much start to finish...It was horrible!!đź’©đź’©đź’©

Starro reminded me of an old Godzilla movie.

We both thought the first one was 10x better.

@MutantMania Surprised to hear. I had the polar opposite take.

But even the new one was only a one-time watch for me. Not one I’d revisit.

Just started Loki. I think it is brilliant. As good as WandaVision, which I loved.

Great to see such divergent opinions.

Some people like pop, some country, some hip hop, some rock and some jazz.

Some enjoy all of the above plus John Zorn.

Been binge watching Its Always Sunny. Now THAT is quality.

Watched Tenet. Well, watched part of it. Dumbest movie I have seen (or partially seen) in a long, long time.

Gimmicky, faux-intellectual, illogical nonsense.

Watching through a - let’s say very “decent” hifi system - and even the audio mix was terrible.

Acting was fine but wow - I can actually enjoy convoluted, esoteric plots (favorite tv show was Twin Peaks) but goddaaaaaa this was a bad movie. Heck, I even found Kant’s A Critique of Pure Reason completely comprehensible…

Suspension of disbelief, or being open to alternative views of science or reality … fine… but this movie requires complete shutdown of too many brain cells…

@Davethebrave I thought it was fine as a sci-fi movie (not great, but fine), but as a Christopher Nolan movie I thought it was disappointing.

I'm a bit behind the times but watched Marriage Story last night. Not what you would call a fun time but it's nice to watch good actors.

@xkonk btw, I usually love Nolan films. Big fan. But the movie (to me) was quite a bit worse than fine for sci-fi. It is like Nolan’s ego/arrogance outstripped even -his- ability.

Similar trajectory to M.N Shyamalan where he got too wrapped up in his own “thing”…

Finished watching the History of the Sitcom, an 8 episode documentary about Sitcoms. It was an entertaining trip down memory lane for me. Not the greatest documentary series I've ever seen, but there were some very interesting people giving opinions and passing along information and history. I thought it was a bit disjointed at times, some subjects/themes dominated the series, and they overlooked many sitcoms that deserved to be mentioned. Or just mentioned them in passing. Maybe the genre is too big and to give adequate time to all the shows that needed to be talked about, the series would have dragged on for too many episodes. Brevity sometimes is best.

But to go back to my earlier statement, it was entertaining and a fun trip down memory lane for me. I might have to pull out my Get Smart season 1 DVD's and watch a few episodes.

Don't expect an action movie because it's not. Personally, I didn't care for it. Check out the reviews on line to give you a better idea.

Just saw The Tomorrow War, I liked it a lot. a couple of things were a little cliche but I dug it. The ratio of Explosions to length of movie was perfect. Tug at the heart strings, action and comedy were all there. Oh and the special effects (especially the creatures) rocked. 8 out of 10 for me.
