Just watched the Turner Classic Movies ‘Role Model: Gene Wilder’ special.

Basically, Alec Baldwin sits down with Gene Wilder for an hour to discuss his career in detail.

I saw it years ago & really wanted to see it again. I searched high & low. Eventually, I was able to find it on e-bay in a “For Your Consideration” box set that was originally mailed to Emmy judges.

My folks really enjoyed it, too.

For young ones or city folk....a drive in is a field with usually between 1 and 4 screens where you sit in or around your vehicle and watch movies...its fantastic!!

Here's one you don't hear every day.

Man struck by lightning while at drive in movies.

Silence of the Lambs

As a movie buff, I’m embarrassed to say, this is a first time watch.

I had forgotten that Drive-Ins were often a double feature. And they can't really start before sunset so that could make for some pretty late nights at the movies. I think I was too young to appreciate the true appeal of the drive-in...which I assume was bring your own girl and bring your own alcohol.

Transformers War for Cybertron. About 4 episodes into Siege. I like it so far. A more serial structure than the fractured continuity I grew up with.

Watched the new ‘Suicide Squad’ Friday night. Leaps and bounds better than the previous one, but probably still a one time watch for me. I didn’t see much replay value in it.

Football Sunday - getting prepped for the coming season by watching some classics.

1982 NFC Championship - Dallas vs Washington.
1994 Week 7 Reg Season - Kansas City vs Denver. Not high scoring, but one helluva game. Joe Montana and John Elway.
1998 Thanksgiving - Minnesota vs Dallas. @Jesse_O would love this one. Vikes trashed the Cowboys, and trashed Aikman as well.
Super Bowl XVIII - Redskins vs Raiders. Skins got butchered.

Lotta football for one day, but thankfully commercial free.

Over the weekend I watched Tomorrow War and Guns Akimbo. Tomorrow War was good, although I thought it went a bit longer then it had to and didn't really do anything new. Guns Akimbo was weird and definitely trying to do something different, but also funny and entertaining. Would recommend both although Guns Akimbo would appeal to a smaller group of people.

Disney Plus marathon viewing.

Finally finished Falcon & Winter Soldier. It took me so long as I thought it was mostly boring. Best part for me was having Sharon Carter in it. Hope they do a Sharon Carter mini-series. I'd watch that.

I also binged Loki. Very much enjoyed it. Hope they do another season of Loki.

Capped it off with the first episode of What If? Decent, but not great. Has potential. Looking forward to see what they do on future episodes.

Just finished ‘Nobody’ with Bob Odenkirk.

I genuinely liked this movie a lot.

Good character development in a lean revenge story. Nothing we haven’t seen before, but I’d watch this over ‘John Wick’ any day.

Just watched the new Guy Richie movie, ‘Wrath of Man’ while grading some books.

It was fine. It felt overlong and eventually felt redundant. The characters also all felt the same. Some cool action scenes but nothing too special. Glad I didn’t pay to see it.

I've seen a lot of it before, off and on, but I wanted to actually watch the whole thing.
