                I keep give or take four complete sets of the fourth world trilogy raw and lose for reading and reference that I doubt i will scan....have a few of the figures, and more signed books not pictured....but these are fun to have as time passes. |

@Nuffsaid111 me too!!! Not sure if you know but the story about Kirbry/New Gods/Marvel/DC is an interesting one. Kirby's intention was to introduce the New Gods/Fourth World into the Thor title at Marvel. At the time his contract with Marvel was approaching expiry and was time to negotiate a new one. Kirby held back his Fourth world creations until he saw what his contract was like. If it was a good contract he'd proceed with the Fourth world in Thor...if not...well, we know what happened and where he went. If you knew this, my apologies but maybe this is news to other folks here.  |

| I have only 1 I've submitted for grading and received back. This was probably my most impressive Yard Sale pickup 2 years ago. 10 books for $150 including this New Gods and a Spidey #39 high grade. The other 8 were golden age and I've since sold that more than covered the 150. Interesting story - the homeowner was selling seemingly garbage books (my far-viewed assessment) at his yard sale and a random guy was rummaging through them. I couldn't get in to look closely because of the guy digging. So I asked the homeowner if he had anymore comics than what he had out (a must question for yard sales). After hesitating he somewhat reluctantly brought me into his house and showed me the 10 comics he had inside his house. I asked how much. Magic words $150. I'll take them. Submitted this New Gods last year and although I knew it was really nice grade, was shocked to get the grade I did.  |

| @GAC The stories are often the valuable entity after the book is bought/sold or whatever be it's final destination. For the last 5 years I've been a rabid yard/garage sale go-er using various forms of communication/inklings/methods to obtain potential hits. I've done quite well over the years, although last year was admittedly quite dried up (hopefully the pandemic). I've forgotten some of the books I've purchased, but I never forget the story. And man oh man have there been a few doozy of stories (and I'm not talking about successful $$$ stories; I mean doozies as far as the experience went) |

After many years he was planning on putting them and several hundred other FG Scans of original art from his work with Steve Rude, Eric Larsen, Ron Frenz, and others in the recycle bin until I saved them.        |
