First time seeing it for me. Also came across a MIDWEST grading book over the weekend. They must be super small as well.

Yeah, Australian. Check post 153 here: https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/590/page/7/favorite-cover-images/ Midwest is not one I've heard of before. |

@Haljordanfan - BEWARE! - i had bought a Stan lee Halo witness signature Silver Surfer #1. Sent in to CBCS as the Halo encasement was 100% sealed so there was no ability for the comic to offgas. Signature came back Verified, BUT there was color touch that was missed by Halo.

@Scifinator - Thanks for the warning, but if it’s not graded by CBCS or CGC I wouldn’t even consider it.

I bought a HALO 9.8 ASM300. Upon receiving it, the book looked like a solid 9.2. Upon further scrutiny it appeared the slab had been tampered with; label had internal damage and perimeter appeared to have been re-glued (messy.) I checked with hi-def pics of other HALO slabs and they looked consistently far neater with no label damage issues. The seller was upset with me for returning it, but upon getting it back, he noticed what I had pointed out and was apologetic; he had gotten duped when he bought it. He was going to send it to CGC for a crossover grade; I never heard back and hope it didn't have much worse issues than were not apparent viewed in the slab. |
