Have I told you about the time I dropped off 3,000 comics at SDCC? | Scifinator private msg quote post Address this user
Now that the move is pretty much behind me, I spent the past week updating the prices and offer specs on my remaining 1468 listings in the MCS SlabSmart store. With about 1,440 CBCS graded comics and about 28 cgc, all but a couple are available to CBCS forum members at a subtantial discount (and many would be well BELOW the 22% discount that I was origianlly offered). With MCS shipping as low as $5, it might be worth your time to check it out and put in an offer...or several hundred offers. I have not made this known to other forums/social media as of yet. So hurry on over and get yourself an early Valentine's gift. Direct link to SlabSmart store |

Like I mentioned above, i will be accepting offers so you will get pretty good pricing. There are a very few exceptIons (I really mean very few) on items that while i will accept an offer, it won’t be that heavily discounted. Such as... |

You inspired me to check it out. Most books are more recent than what I’m buying currently, but I threw you a few lowballs to wrestle with since I have some MCS credit. Just a suggestion to anyone using the link below, it’s a lot to look through and sorting by highest to lowest price might help bring some books to light that you weren’t thinking of. I got all three books. @scifinator is clearly ready to move some inventory. You all should check it out and make him an offer if you see something you like. My offers were somewhat low and he waited about 36 hours to respond. But I think that's totally fair with low offers, to run out the clock waiting to see if any better offers come in. I do that with low offers all the time. |

@EbayMafia - On the 36 hrs, you are somewhat on the mark. I do hold off to make sure, but I am also double checking prices as i both dont want to give it away, but also want to make sure that you are getting the lowest price available. As a matter of fact, i had an offer on one that was 10% higher than my counter to you, but prefer that my comics go to CBCS forum members. SO, to forum members, it is up to you if you want to be anonymous or give me a heads up that you are making offers. As for Mr Mafioso, I am glad we came up with prices we each couldn’t refuse. Cheers and enjoy! |

Most recent accepted offer: Uncanny X-Men (1963 1st Series) 105 CBCS 9.4 Newsstand Edition. Your price $175 Accepted offer $150 Offer status You accepted the buyer's offer. Now, I have this offer that I am considering. Uncanny X-Men (1963 1st Series) 98 CBCS 9.6 WHITE Your price $461 Buyer's offer $420 Offer status The buyer's offer expires in 41 hr, 39 min. I would have immediately accepted but for the fact that one just sold on ComicConnect for $610 which is 45% higher than the next highest price for a 9.6 in the past year and 27% higher that the previous high $480 which dates back to 2018. Looks like my X-Men eXodus continues has renewed. Direct SlabSmart Link |

@Scifinator - I wonder what is up with that $610 sale? I checked out the scan of the front cover of that book, and it says cream to off-white pages. Plus, several copies are on eBay for close to $100 less than that price.

But, with the GoCollect article, I started thinking, would i be stupid for not doing it? So, i think i will leave it there for a hot minute. While I expect that the $602 auction was an aberration, we will see. |

Just added a few more listings on top of the listings added last week. Some rare & eclectic and some more mainstream. Here are some pics of some of the titles added and the direct link to all listings at the end. The hardest one for me to put up is the Wolverine #1 signed by Stan Lee and Frank Miller which was signed at SDCC 2017. The gold pen ink makes the autographs blend well, I think. Happy viewing! With the recent crazy inflation in mind, here are a couple of my recent sales, that I think fall within that rhelm. I am obviously happy, but how long will this last. I wanted to post as some of you may have some of these issues but I don't think the MCS sales show up on GoCollect: Sold at $3,400 _________________ Sold at $146 _________________ Sold at $219 |
