Gotta agree with everyone here.

Episode 4 was really good. The best, so far.

No. It's not even close.

If rumors are to be believed, "Wandavision" in all cost around $225 million. Endgame cost $365 million. How much of each is special effects budget it's hard to say, but Wandavision certainly has less cast to pay. So, either way, it is a very, very expensive TV show.

This Forbes story suggests that Downey Jr. got $20 million up front (presumably out of that $365) for Endgame and the other key Avengers got around $15, while a guy like Rudd got more like $8. Given how many people there were, like @KCBatmanFan said, you have to figure Endgame had at least $100 million in salary alone. https://www.forbes.com/sites/maddieberg/2019/07/10/marvel-money-how-six-avengers-made-340-million-last-year/?sh=190e16bc1ab9

Just watched Episode 4, as many have said, much, much better! I thought the first episode was okay, at least it was an interesting idea. The next two episodes seemed to drag and could have been combined into one IMO. Now things are getting good, as other known characters in the MCU are appearing. I am glad I kept watching, how about you?

Not sure about you all but one of the main reasons for signing up with Disney was for marvel content.

That being said I'm glad they finally brought in connections with the marvel world. I would not be able to stick with the sitcom stuff much longer.

We're apparently in a world where TV series' need midseason trailers. Enjoy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ch0wMWnXjeA

I personally would've been fine with them continuing with the sitcom world, showing more oddities and cracks for a while. But I guess the showrunners had the right idea since others thought it was growing old.

I think the sitcom thing felt really awkward for me and the actors too. Of course, I cannot stand sitcoms and stupid laugh tracks.

Question. I was reading the article on gocollect about selling off the mephisto books. Apparently I am having some reading comprehension issues. Wouldn't selling his books be premature given the show hasn't really said one way or the other if it has ties to mephisto?

(Plus I really like mephisto)

Too many strong rumors of him appearing. If he doesn't show up here, probably another show. The devil is in the details.

Regarding Mephisto and selling his keys, I saw that article, too and it didn’t make much sense, unless the author thinks he shows up in that show and bails.

I think he’ll end up in the MCU- if they use him.

I’m not convinced he’s involved, yet.

We might be looking at more of an avengers disassembled or Vision Quest storyline.

I guess we will find out soon enough, though.

I didnt get that article either and I'm also not convinced it's Mephisto either.

I kinda feel it's Wanda's torment and grief period after Endgame and for losing Vision. The moment she could have saved Vision or half the population is an overwhelming decision to make and I think she's shielding herself from the pain in creating Westview. So, it's Wanda who's the villain.

Man that one shot of Vision's head and where the Mind gem was... creepy.

I'm glad I am not the only one. I think the author of that article is a new contributor. I don't think I've ever read anything by him in the past.

Finally caught episode 4 last night. Things are really coming together.

I had read that Darcy would be in this show but had no clue when. It was nice to see some familiar faces.

I didn't read the article, but just in terms of watching the show it feels like it's just Wanda. If I have the timeline right, she killed Vision, had Thanos undo it in front of her and kill him again, Thanos snapped her away, she came back immediately into a huge battle, and now we're a few weeks or a month later. That's a lot! Adding a villain to it would sort of cheapen Wanda's grief, I think.

Yes!!!

I truly hope they don’t go for a big bad driving everything.

Wanda is supposed to be a powerful mutant, but also unstable as hell.

I think this is playing off that.

As to the article, when that writer mentioned keys, I was surprised he didn’t mention GS Avengers 4. Vision and SW wedding seems somewhat important.

One additional note: If you're holding the 2004 Astonishing X-Men series, then #3 and #6 just went up like crazy.

Number 6 is showing as sold for around $300 in the last 2 weeks.

Jeez, the comic market is so reactive these days...

I've noticed that as well. I was able to get raws for fairly cheap though. Spidey Annual 16 (first Monica Rambeau) might also be trending up but I'm less confident about that.

Ha ha ha!

It’s funny because it’s true.

Luckily, I already had them from when they came out.

Early 2000s was a rebirth in story-telling in comics, in my humble opinion.

Luckily, I grabbed me a copy about 6 months ago.

I always liked the Monica Rambeau character. I had her first appearance and probably every Avengers she was in.

Depending on how they use her, I could see a spike. Fingers are now crossed!

That's the way to do it if one is also a seller.
Buy the raw modern, grade it, and obtain the 9.8.
It's not that far-fetched/difficult in today's modern world.
On the flipside, however would one make any profits off moderns if that purple lantern weren't burning so irresistibly bright for some?

@Nuffsaid111

I see your point, but have to admit that moderns have been good to me.

First Jason Todd as Red Hood, Alias 1, Black Panther 2, Young Avengers run, etc... have really boosted my collections value.

I’d definitely trade them for some silver age though.

Oh definitely keep what you like, regardless of era, as I often do also.
I was referring to the actual purchase of Modern 9.8's for e to the 20th power of the raw value. - that's the purple bug light
