Thoughts on WandaVision (Disney+)? SPOLERS13733

This show is so unbelievably boring that I literally fell asleep during Episode 3.

sounds like I'm in the minority.....I kind of liked episode 3....there was a lot of fluff but they did move the story forward but still leaves questions for future episodes. Wanda seems able to kick people out of the reality she and Vision exist in....but is this a reality she has made for herself? if so, why? if not - who created it and why?

Love the show.... absolutely love it. Marvel taking a risk with something very different and it is working for me.

Love that slow burn! I don't want everything laid out for me in the first episode. I much prefer nuggets each and every episode since it's only a 8-10 episode series. We will learn what is happening soon enough and see how this falls into the MCU continuity. Also like an episode every week and not binge watching the whole series in one evening.

Yeah, I watched four episodes of “Agents of Shield” before I dropped out. I have friends who followed it for years. They repeatedly tried to get my to push through it. They ultimately quit like two seasons before it ended.

I know it got better, but it was a one hour show with 20 episode seasons. How many hours before it got better? I won’t ever know.

I'm not sure what that teaser is trying to tell us but I think it suggests the illusion of their reality is about to be exposed.

I love WandaVision. I think it is brilliant risk-taking writing. Wonderful acting. Bigger special effects budget than Avengers Endgame. The story is not over yet.

@CatCovers

I literally brought that up with a bud last night. We get a 20 min show and a 10 min end credit. That is ridiculous.

That's what Paul Bettany said in an interview. For the whole series I presume.

The wife isn’t big on comic book movies, but she is enjoying it profusely.
Has some chick flick bones I reckon. Everybody loves a mutant witch.

The really annoying part is that Marvel has trained us to expect a credits scene or two. When the credits started in the first episode, I started skipping forward, didn’t find any such scene, presumed I’d missed it and went back and watched the credits all the way through. I haven’t done that again, but EVERY time I feel like I should because I’m missing something.

We finally sat down and watched the whole run so far. I like it; knowing it was going to start as the sitcom style from the trailers was nice, and they had stuff going on that made it obvious that something weird is coming. I think my wife enjoyed too.

I think my favorite reference was the up-close magic @KatKomics mentioned. Random but very on-brand for the character.

If rumors are to be believed, "Wandavision" in all cost around $225 million. Endgame cost $365 million. How much of each is special effects budget it's hard to say, but Wandavision certainly has less cast to pay. So, either way, it is a very, very expensive TV show.

This Forbes story suggests that Downey Jr. got $20 million up front (presumably out of that $365) for Endgame and the other key Avengers got around $15, while a guy like Rudd got more like $8. Given how many people there were, like @KCBatmanFan said, you have to figure Endgame had at least $100 million in salary alone. https://www.forbes.com/sites/maddieberg/2019/07/10/marvel-money-how-six-avengers-made-340-million-last-year/?sh=190e16bc1ab9
