I long with comic books I also collect Nevada Casino Chips. Last year I made the mistake of buying (2) copies of newest THE CHIP RACK 19th Edition (I only need one). The CHIP RACK is the price guide for all Nevada Casino Chips past and present. They cost $54.99 each. If you are interested in this guide I'm selling it for $50.00 with free shipping.

I bought a meat grinder on amazon for $60 and it's changed my life. kaptainmyke private msg quote post Address this user
That's cool I just watched an episode of Pawn Stars where a guy was selling a rare chip. The old man was talking about a "Chip Book" so I assume it was like a price guide for chips.

I used to collect new ones by drunken accident. But that pretty much ended when kids and a recession hit me at the same time around 2010. The old ones, from casinos that don't exist anymore...those are pretty darn cool though.

I have a small collection, but they are really just mementos of the various casinos and card rooms that I have played in. Whenever I play at a new place, I always keep a $1 chip.

What I'd like is a nice way to display them all. If anyone has displayed theirs or has a good suggestion, I'd love to hear or see them.

Wow, I didn't know a book like that even existed.

I have a handful of chips from the Cosmo Club, the casino owned by my grandfather and great aunt in the late 50s.

Wow!! How cool is that!! Hopefully you have a nice assortment of those chips. Here's COSMO CLUB chip prices. Let me know what you want to do with them. If you're in the RENO, Nevada area I have a collector who would be interested in them as I would too.

I would think a challenge coin display would be ideal for these. It’s what I use to display coins. Check Amazon.

Gambling in general is only irrational in the extreme. Anticipation of positive outcomes releases endorphins and lifts our spirits. This has as much value as anything we might spend money on to lift our spirits. We think it's irrational when we see someone down on their luck buying a $2 lottery ticket. But for a couple of days that person gets to live the "what if?" fantasy. The elevated spirits and positive feelings of having that lottery ticket in their pocket for a couple days is far more than they could get from a $2 candy bar or a Slurpee.

Simply because no casino gambler calculates his profit and losses they have the illusion they are winning when hitting a small jackpot when in reality they are probably in minus.

To have a casino chip collection can be very cheap. When at a casino win lose or draw pocket a chip or two that you like and if you go to any Casino Chip Conventions most dealers have have $2-3 bins you can sort through. Aug. 2019, the last convention I was at was at SOUTH POINT CASINO/HOTEL Las Vegas. I picked up about (100) casino chips in the $2-3 bins and they will bring down the price a little too. I was able to get some current RENO, Nevada $5.00 Casino chips for $3.00 each. I paid $36.00 (12 chips) and made $24.00 when I went to Reno. Check out CASINO CHIP & GAMING TOKEN COLLECTORS CLUB (ccgtcc.com). I'm a 15 year plus member. Great club.

Casino gambling is, in nearly all instances, inherently/objectively irrational, and more so in the extreme; like sugar rushes, endorphin boosts are often followed by crashes, so unless one has a (perhaps irrational) fondness for a manic-depressive experience...

I recently got into laser cutting/engraving and made some wood chips for the season winners of our poker group. Lots of improvements to make but the guys love them and they have a NFC chip inside that opens our website

Thanks for sharing that. Very cool. I'm going to hang onto them as they have sentimental value, but I appreciate the interest.
