Bucs just now got a break,... holding on KC. Bucs previous drive when 4th and goal,... I knew they were going to run, Bucs knew they were going to run, and KC knew they were going to run - straight up the middle. And that's what they did, and they get stopped. Do the run, then make a cut, left or right. Should have been a TD play. |

21 - 6 Halftime Go Tampa Bay! First time I have ever rooted for Tom Brady in a Super Bowl. |

@Pre_Coder it was nice of Reid to call those two brilliant timeouts at the end of the first half.

I thought this would be a close game either way, with an outside shot at KC running away with it. Never thought TB would be up double digits this late in the game. Shocked. But please stop with the excuses. OK, Mahomes probably isn't 100% but I hate the announcers making excuses for why they are getting beat. Just give TB and expecially Bowles the credit they deserve. |

The pressure and coverage have been solid. TB's defensive game plan has been amazing.

Wow! Not what anyone expected. I thought it would come down to a field goal or who had the ball last.

Quote:Originally Posted by Pre_Coder They should have won the MVP. They were the reason Mahomes scrambled for his life one second after the snap seemingly on every down. Brady was fantastic, for sure, and his scores forced KC to throw, but even when Mahomes did throw, there was some great Defensive coverage breaking up those passes. ps Friendly reminder: Montana never lost a SB, and never threw an INT in a SB. |

@Siggy Not to take away from their amazing performance, but Tampa Bay did have the benefit of playing against a patchwork KC offensive line. As for Montana over Brady, I agree 100%! If I was starting a football team and had first pick of anyone in NFL history to build my team around, it would be Joe Montana. Just sayinâ... |

Quote:Originally Posted by michaelekrupp You're right, when I heard how banged up the KC O-line was, that was more meaningful to me than the toe injury to Mahomes. It's hard for fans to truly internalize how much a football game is completely won or lost at the line of scrimmage. I'm kind of surprised that Vegas odds don't account for this as such a significant variable. |

Quote:Originally Posted by michaelekrupp It's really tough to compare era to era. I imagine the average size and maybe even speed of Brady's recievers is significantly greater than Montanas. On the other hand, DB's and Safeties are faster than the ever were. The passing game has evolved a lot with back shoulder throws and intentionally throwing receivers short for cut-backs. It would take Montana a while to adjust to modern era professional football. The game just keeps increasing in size, speed and strategy. |

If Montana's O-Lines protected him the way Brady's did Brady, hoooo boy! There would have been a 3peat, no one would know what Steve Young was capable of, and Joe would be the first a Super Bowl Toe-Ring.![]() |

A guy at work last night showed me a video of an obviously trashed Tom Brady chucking the Lombardi trophy from his boat to Gronkowski in another boat. I guess after youâve spent so much time with the trophy you have to get creative about what to do with it. I wouldnât be surprised if the thing has âTom Brady was hereâ scratched into it somewhere on there. ![]() |

Brady's the best QB since Baugh, the Ruth of pro football. Away from the grim world of the Pats, he really shone bright. |
