And JUST like an Insurance Company, when Mahomes actually DID crash, Jake was nowhere to be seen.

A guy at work last night showed me a video of an obviously trashed Tom Brady chucking the Lombardi trophy from his boat to Gronkowski in another boat. I guess after you’ve spent so much time with the trophy you have to get creative about what to do with it. I wouldn’t be surprised if the thing has “Tom Brady was here” scratched into it somewhere on there. 😂

Brady's the best QB since Baugh, the Ruth of pro football.

Away from the grim world of the Pats, he really shone bright.

You're right, when I heard how banged up the KC O-line was, that was more meaningful to me than the toe injury to Mahomes. It's hard for fans to truly internalize how much a football game is completely won or lost at the line of scrimmage. I'm kind of surprised that Vegas odds don't account for this as such a significant variable.

Vegas was all in for KC - even had me doubting...

It's really tough to compare era to era. I imagine the average size and maybe even speed of Brady's recievers is significantly greater than Montanas. On the other hand, DB's and Safeties are faster than the ever were. The passing game has evolved a lot with back shoulder throws and intentionally throwing receivers short for cut-backs. It would take Montana a while to adjust to modern era professional football. The game just keeps increasing in size, speed and strategy.

Very true. Montana would've been killed in Otto Graham's day, just as Brady likely would've been in Joe's day, as he probably would have been hit harder and more frequently.

KC and Andy Reid got outcoached. It's not like they didn't know about Mahomes toe or that their O-line was using several backups and shuffled parts. Yet, they didn't make any adjustments. Like keep extra blockers in to protect Mahomes. Or run the ball more. No, they just kept dropping Mahomes back and hoped he would work his magic. Bad coaching, IMO.

Agreed. Or roll Mahomes out more, assuming his toe would allow that. The running game was having some success, though. I don't know why after getting spanked in the first half they didn't just establish the heck out of the run?

It would have kept Brady on the bench, and forced the defense to respect the run, which they really didn't.

I like Reid, but he seems to outsmart himself too often.
