I'm just going to chalk up your responses to you thinking that you're funny, and not to you completely failing to miss the point here. :-)
I mean, it seems the same to me. Yeah I was trying to be funny but how is it different? Especially when you can turn on a blocker for the “commercial”?

Not to be too controversial but it is totally different. TV adds are there because those are what pay for the show you're watching or radio you're listening to. Now cable is a bit different as yes -you are also paying...but not as much as it costs to produce the shows you are consuming...

You don't get adds on streaming TV or digital radio because you are the one paying for the content.

Modify your analogy....instead of a high end Porshe with a duct cleaning ad on the side to an average Chevy or Ford with a bumper sticker.

I don't consider CGC or CBCS as elitist services to comic collectors as a Porsche might be to automobile owners. I don't equate an ad at the top of the website the same as a plastered sticker on the side of a car.

This is about perspectives. You have yours and others have theirs.

Now, that particular car says something. It's not practical, it's an absurd thing to buy, but it comes with an image. Now you can argue all day whether or not that's a douchebag image or whatever, but at the end of the day it is a high-end, Elite product that says something when you own it.

Now, take a big fucking sticker that advertises duct cleaning and stick it on my door. Now what is it say? Cheapens the entire car and makes it look like garbage. It also says whoever owns that car is an absolute tool.

Maybe a few arrogant elitists might barf. But 999 out of 1000 of us common folk would look right through the sticker and say "cool freaking Porche".

I, for one, am glad we've finally found the true source of division on the forum. Looking forward to a new sticky thread soon.

@KatKomics, I could be wrong but streaming services have commercials unless you have something other than the free version? Spotify, Pandora, and Apple TV all have ads unless you pay for an upgrade. Guess what I don’t use?
