| @OGJackster WOW! That TV/VCR player really brings back some memories! I had one of those in my room at my family's cabin as a teen. It got in three channels, so I pretty much wore out more than a few VCR tapes!!! Tonight, I'll be switching back and forth between Svengoolie and the NFL game. |

| Right! I liked how they combined animation and real (rubber) bats to make it really look like it was a large cloud of bats. I liked this movie. I'd never seen it. |

| I'll be glad when DISH gets METV back. Apparently, METV doesn't broadcast in the Las Vegas area anymore for free. My antenna wouldn't pick up that channel. It really sucks not being able to watch Svengoolie on Saturday nights! | ||

| If you've never seen it, the original Japanese Gojira is much better than the American-ized, Raymond-Burr-starring version of "Godzilla." I can't imagine Svengoolie ever showing that one, though. | ||

| Yea you could go old-man antenna and a streaming service or two and still come out way ahead. I had the same discussion with my wife a couple of years ago. She's a TV junkie. We had AT&T U-verse at the time. She was hesitant about cutting the cord but it was going to save us over $100 per month so she couldn't say no. The other day, for the first time, I heard her tell her mom that she's really happy that we did it and she'd never go back. |

| @DWeeB1967 I think our main motivation to keep DISH is the DVR. We hate commercials and it's great being able to FF through all of the garbage. We also have well over 100 shows set to record between the 2 of us. She has the "how to kill your husband and get away with it" shows and I have all the Alaska, gold, sci-fi, and cop shows. I could survive without it but you know what they say about a happy wife |
