Pittsburg / Buffalo - I was having difficulty on my pick for this game. If Sunday's game doesn't get postponed, this will be Pitts 3rd game in just under 2 weeks. Plus they will be playing on the road against a team that is difficult to be at home. I think this is going to weigh on them.![]() |

Los Angeles - 24 New England - 3 I always love it when NE gets it handed to them, but I was expecting a more exciting game. |

Dallas-17 / Cincinnati-0 (6:38 2nd Quarter) - I picked Dal for the win, but hoping Cin would take it. Bengals are self destructing. I'm switching over to the KC/Miami game.

Bengals are doing a time warp back to 1994. This team is pathetic.

ALL WEEK LONG people are saying that the Vikes need to come out throwing and throwing DEEP!!!! What does coach Zimmer, in his infinite wisdom, do? He comes out running the ball, option plays and shallow routes for the first half!!! Did they adjust at half time? You know, like other coaches in that position are prone to do? No. Once again, too little, too late!! He needs to go!!!!! |

Quote:Originally Posted by Jesse_O I agree, he needs to go. Zimmmer plays too conservative, and not aggressive enough. On my end of the field, Washington has beaten... Dallas Pittsburg San Francisco Yet I am not a fan of new coach, Rivera. I think his play calling is much like Jason Garrett... "I'm not coaching to win, I'm just trying to keep from losing!" Rivera is not making the team look good,.. the team is making Rivera look good. |

@Jesse_O although I have only listened to a couple of Vikings games this year (Detroit and Seattle, I think) I did tune in this week. What’s interesting is that my take on what happened is so much different than yours. The run was working in the first half. The Vikings dominated first half time of possession and Dalvin Cook was poised to have a shot at 200 yards for the day. Yet somehow the Vikes fell behind, not because of the offensive scheme, but because their kicker missed every single kick and their safety made a fatal decision to jump an underneath route and let Tampa’s speed receiver run by him for a long touchdown. It seems to me that their biggest mistake was abandoning the run in the second half. The Bucs had no answer for Cook, and I really think he would have ripped off a couple of long ones in the second half if the Vikings had stuck to the plan. I can see why Zimmer felt more pressure to pass because kicking a field goal, or even an extra point, is not an option. Still, the first half game plan was clearly effective, the second half plan clearly not. Although Zimmer certainly didn’t coach his way into the hall of fame in this game, it is the kicker who should be fired! @Pre_Coder Rivera is what he is: a questionable decision maker and a gambler who loses as often as he wins. What’s kept him around so long is that he is a great motivator. Say what you will, he can get ‘em ready to play. Unfortunately, that will only take a team so far. |
