I managed to be in the situation at the end of last week where I was expecting packages via USPS, UPS, and FedEx (two, actually). The USPS package was estimated for tomorrow but came today. UPS was originally estimated for Sunday, then said it was delayed, and jumped to Wednesday. One of my FedEx packages (from CBCS) was estimated for Sunday, never came, then came today. The other FedEx package was estimated for today but didn't come with the first one. I think the saying about "it's the worst system we have except for all the other ones" is appropriate here but I'm not sure who to apply it to. |

The package from Vietnam arrived. Both items within it arrived damaged. I won't be ordering items from that store ever again.

I was expecting a package from MCS Saturday (yesterday), when I tracked it that morning it showed it had arrived at my Post Office in Springfield, IL so assumed I would get it that day, but it never arrived. When I checked the tracking number later, throughout late afternoon & evening it showed package left Springfield, IL...then it arrived back to Springfield, IL, then it AGAIN left Springfield, IL!!!??? So this morning I check the tracking number and now package arrived in Memphis, TN!!!??? Sadly, this is NOT the first time this scenario has occurred with other packages. At this point nothing the USPS does shocks me anymore, but the annoyance still persists!

So crazy...tracking said package left St Louis, MO yesterday at 9:04 am so package should have arrived at my location of Spfld, IL by today, but now tracking says packed left St. Louis, MO a 2nd time at 7:34 am today??? It just keeps moving back and forth...makes no sense.

I had a package leave 3 days in a row for delivery from my house at around 4am and it was finally delivered on the 4th attempt. It kept going back to the post office every night.

I called USPS today and they said that what happened in my circumstance was that my package was scanned to next location...placed on tube/pallet...most likely fell off tube/pallet and picked up afterwards by mail clerk who had to rescan package again and then place on the next tube/pallet that was scheduled to ship out. I dunno, this is how it was explained to me.

So I guess once package is scanned in and placed on tube/pallet, even when said package falls off, it is the tube/pallet that is tracked and falsely looks as if the actual package is in transit.

Just now looked at the tracking number and here is the latest... Your item departed our USPS facility in SAINT LOUIS MO NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER on June 15, 2021 at 1:43 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination. OMFG, the package left ST. LOUIS, MO earlier today @ 7:34 am!!! Is it still falling off the Tube/Pallet...over & over & over again like Humpty Dumpty?!?? |

Fwiw I had a package coming back to my home usps office and NGC the sister company of CGC. The address label was being read wrong because the scanners kept picking up my return address as the mailing address because the computer thought they were typed too close. I had to go to the post office and have them cover my return address before it got delivered. This went on for at least 5 cycles. |

My loop did not end until I physically went to the post office and they pulled the package out of the loop while I was there. Not sure if that will be your case as well... |

Usps just let me know a package was signed for by me. Funny how I'm sitting at home and I haven't heard the door bell all day.

I'm praying it's not the conan book from batman66 but the package came from CALIFORNIA. According to tracking number, package was signed for by someone in my zip code with my initials apparently. I called usps immediately and they are supposed to call me back in the hour. But I have no idea what the package was / is. All I know was it required a signature. Edit Usps called and gave me a case number. They said give them a few days... Meanwhile I'm trying to figure out who sent a sig confirmation package to me from CA. =( |

I am still waiting for a SA ASM that I won in an auction at the end of May. It was shipped from England by Newgistics Royal Mail Global on June 3rd, and went through customs, apparently twice on June 9th in NH and NY. It then arrived in NJ on June 10th, and there has been no change in status since then. It is supposed to be delivered tomorrow based on the original shipping estimate. We will see.

Quote:Originally Posted by Bronte I've been running into this problem with the USPS a lot on stuff that needs signatures. I understood them signing when COVID was running wild like Hulkamania, but at least knock on the door and see if someone answers. FedEx waits to see if I answer before leaving a package that requires a signature, and UPS has been spotty. Sometimes they wait for me, other times they leave a notice if I'm not home, and then there are times when UPS leaves a notice then drops the package off the next day without my signature. I'm not seeing the purpose of having a required signature if the delivery person is going to be the one signing. |

My fedex guy always gets my signature, but NEVER rings my door bell. I asked him why he won't ring the bell but he mumbled something and stays with the physical knock. The usps guy typically gets my signature, but this is first time I have no idea why no signature from me. I try to offer drinks whenever I see him. Last person I want to piss off. Ups guy always stacks boxes next to door and since my door opens outward, I can't open my door all the way. I think he takes pleasure in it. |
