I absolutely love this cover by Peach Momoko! I had arranged for it late last year before everything went crazy. I love her covers and some are now a little more expensive than I’d want to pay but I’ll always have this one!

I have absolutely no idea who Peach Momoko is, but honestly that looks exactly like the cover I would expect someone named Peach Momoko to draw.

Took a chance and bought this one raw. Was pleasantly surprised by both the grade and the verification!

I really enjoyed the Cloak and Dagger tv series. Took me a little bit to find a copy at a good price. I don't usually buy graded books but was able to get a good deal on this one

Okay so I'm one of the few people that really liked the Daredevil movie (the Director's Cut especially) but even then I realize that Jennifer Garner was miscast as Elektra, I'm still quite fond of her, and certainly more than the psychotic interpretation from the Netflix series. Another raw comic I took a risk on and was happy for the verification.

A trio of George Perez books. The sketch is meant to be the start of a jam with other artists contributing in recreating the classic cover of Infinity Gauntlet #1.

I don't really collect foreign books but this book was just too beautiful to pass up

So I have a love for promos/reprints with interesting new cover art so this one gets to combine all of them into one fun book for my collection! While the beautiful Alex Ross art on this comic isn't new, I'm pretty sure this is the first time it appeared on a comic and not a trade paperback or hardcover collection

An entire set of Sandman Absolute Editions! Not just the main volumes 1-5 but also Death and Overture! Mostly bought piecemeal but it eventually all came together!

Another reprint with Alex Ross art, this one reusing the art from Marvels #0 but it is a perfectly used on ASM #121

I started looking for this after digging into the original 90s comics. I was holding out for a better deal but then, unbeknownst to me, word got out about a (possible?) appearance in the upcoming Falcon and Winter Soldier and the price started going up. My patience was rewarded and I was able to snag this one at a price I would've been happy with before the announcement!

I spent a year or two looking for a copy of the Battle Chasers Anthology at a decent price. I finally got it this year! My book has some significant but not deal-breaking damage, especially since I got for less than half the price of other available copies.

Didn't buy much. Early in the year and later in the year when shops started opening up.

@GAC I'm curious why that Lois Lane 70 only has a 4.5? From the picture it looks a lot nicer than that.

I’ll definitely be posting more once I get home but I wanted to start the ball rolling!

@dielinfinite You've shown this cover before and I never paid much attention. But once I took the time to read your commentary above, my perspective on it totally changed. It's quite beautiful and deeply haunting in a "what might have been" way. Makes me think of the Baseball players in Field of Dreams.

Spent way too much money on bound file sets this year. I kicked off the year by buying a personal collection of over two dozen volumes on New Year’s Day and maintained pretty good momentum throughout the year. I now have bound file copies of every Harvey “famous name” comic from 1957 (still working on the romance titles) and I am very close on 1956, 1958 and 1959. Here are some of the highlights. Keys and mega-keys only.

I also did some work on Dell and Gold Key file sets this year. This one is probably the highlight:

I have brought my collection of bound file volumes up to over 60 volumes this year, which may not sound like that much, but given their rarity it is quite a few. I am extremely pleased with the progress I have made in 2020.

Not fancy, but I got a bunch of Jim Lee Uncanny covers this year. I put (most of) them up on the wall to celebrate the topic.

More fancy, a sketch from Ken Lashley.

Some of the fancier books

And a couple others that I don't have pictures handy for... a Hulk 180 upgrade (hopefully), NYX 3 signed by Quesada, Hero for Hire 1, and perhaps unbelievably some other Uncanny's.

I only got one significant book this year, but I’m good with that.

I did pull this one for my personal collection from a recent collection purchase. It’s at CGC as we speak awaiting Press & Grade.

And after probably a year or two of searching, I finally got one of these as a gift for a friend of mine who is a huge Godzilla fan. It’s a two page newsprint promo handed out at theaters in 1976. It’s considered the first American comic appearance of Godzilla.

I wish it was in better shape, but I’m happy to have got one for him.

These books have all been on my want list for a very, very long time. Only a few more issues from my old want list left. The only problem is, is that new older even more expensive books make it onto my list...

Best score this year. Been hunting a copy for 15 years. I don't do eBay so it's harder. Almost bought a ped copy in 8.5 15 years ago but opted to buy a FF 4 in 3.5 for same money. Better result as early FF have gone up in price.
Saw a copy on a dealers wall 2 years ago at a con. Worse condition then this with a $350 price tag ouch.
Then one of my locals had this copy for $75 yep pulled the trigger with no hesitation.
👍
