I don't like picking this many home teams, but I'm going with it. The Detroit at Chicago games won't mean anything as far as playoffs, but I think it’s going to be a good game!!! I had a tough time picking that one!!! |

 Since they just moved Washington vs Pittsburgh to Monday night, I'll assume that the Tiebreaker points will be JUST for the original Monday night game, Buffalo vs. San Francisco. Hope to keep my hot streak alive and make it a three-peat. Several tough games that can go either way. Good luck all. |

| Last night,... I Had A Dream! Ever since I can remember (early '70s), my dream was to be QB for the Washington Redskins. Well last night my dream came true,... in my sleep. First game of the season, we're playing Dallas in our stadium, and I'm the new QB. We deferred, and Dallas scored on their first drive. After that the score was 7-0 up to the very last 2 seconds of the game. I made some good passes down field but the running game sucked (both sides). Both offenses made some good plays, but it was all defense. I remember one play we were 3rd and long, I handed off to the RB, then I took off downfield and caught his pass for 20 yards, but I sure paid for it. Later we ran the same trick play, I was wide open, jumped as high as I could, but the ball just skimmed my finger tips. The grand finale.... We are 4th and goal on the 2 yard line with 2 seconds left in the game. The play:...I'm going to hand off to the RB, he hits the line, pitches ball back to me, and I run it in outside the left hash marks. Tie the game and we go to overtime. Cadence: READY - SHIFT COBRA - 282.... beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep beep My alarm clock almost did a hail mary across the room!  |

| 8:16 - 3rd quarter.... Pittsburg - 14 Washington - 10 Rivera has been making some really stupid play calls. Washington is fortunate to be down by only 4 points at the moment. I've also lost count of Wash penalties. |

| For me, the Steelers loss falls squarely on Coach Tomlin. He made what I consider to be a very poor decision that cost his team dearly. Facing a fourth down and 2 in Washington territory with the game tied, he decided to go for it instead of kicking a 45 yard field goal that would have given his team the lead in the fourth quarter. Possibly he knows something I don’t about the Steelers kicking game, but it seemed to me that he should have taken the lead when he had the chance. I may be way off base, but it seems arrogant to me to go for it in that situation, like “we are winners and they are losers, of course we’re going to pick this up and win the game”. News flash: the other guys get paid too. And it’s not exactly like Tomlin’s team had been playing particularly well over the last couple weeks. I question if Tomlin would have made the same call against a higher caliber of competition. | ||

| @michaelekrupp - good point! Washington certainly is not a high caliber team but they do have the #7 defense in the league. On the flip side - I felt Rivera made some questionable play calls against an obviously high caliber team with the #1 defense. | ||
