Ok. The last box is moderns & trades. Gonna stop for dinner.

And this was a quick skim. I’m sure I missed stuff!

Best collection I’ve ever bought for the price!

Looks like you scored a nice collection, though depends on what you paid for the collection, of course.

Very nice. Much better than the couple of collection I got to take a look at. Jealousy level is rising.

For some reason comic book characters with claws were pretty common in the early 90's. Claws and anger issues. Can't imagine where the inspiration came from.

There’s a decent chunk of Cap 146-193 or so.

A lot of Uncanny X-Men in the issue 200-300 range.

A lot more non-key Spidey books.

I’ll be putting lots together & sending some to grading soon.

Congratulations! Looks like a helluva score! I'm guessing the "two major modern keys" were ASM #300 and Batman Adventures 12? In which case, it looks like you definitely made out well.

@kaptainmyke I think I paid less for the collection than the ASM 300 & Batman Adventures 12 would cost me raw.

@Tedsaid yes. Those were the two he showed, along with ASM 299 & 301.

Ok. I’m gonna list these slowly, guys. Still sorting & figuring out what to grade, sell raw, or keep.

Anyone interested in the Spawn lot?

They’re all Direct Editions and generally Very Fine/NM -. Some better, a couple might fall into the Fine + category. I’d say they’re all unread, but may have been stacked at one time.

Included is #:

6 (1st OvertKill & Tony Twist), 7, 8 (1st Vindicator), 9 (1st Angela), 10 (x2), 11 (x2), 12 (1st Jason Wynn, x2), 13 (x2), 14 (x2) 15 (x2), 16 (1st Major Vale, x3), 17 (1st Full app. of Redeemer, x2), 19, 20, 22, 23 (x3), 25 (1st Tremor, 26, 27(1st app. The Curse), 28, 29, 75.

33 issues in all.

Looks like $2 each is a fair price. So, $50 + Large Flat Rate Domestic shipping (21.10). $70 (PayPal Goods & Services) out the door?

If you’re unhappy with anything, let me know. We’ll work something out.

So exciting!

I got to look through an old Avengers run today that my shop is in the process of buying. Had a #1 in it. Sure don't see one of those everyday. It was about a 2.0 but daaaaaaaamn watching these box openings is fuuuuuuuun.

@Terry88 in my 25 years as a collector, this is my biggest score.

I randomly ran across it on OfferUp. I didn’t even search for comics, it was a few rows down in the recently listed section.

When I saw the ASM 300 & Batman Adventures 12, I said “I bet someone already snagged this”. But then I saw it was listed about 22 minutes ago. I asked if they were still available & he said I was the first to ask about them.

I offered to pay him via PayPal & explained I had cash, but I was working out of town & wouldn’t be home until the next day. He was kind enough to say he’d hold them for me. He even agreed to deliver them.

As we were communicating, he said he was getting 100 messages about them. But he marked them as sold for me & the rest is history.

That's fantastic. I hope I get to do this someday. I haven't had the opportunity to buy a collection yet. I'm jealous.

Pumped to see the rest!

I was going to jump on the spawn books but I have all those ones already. I'm searching out the 200s right now and I'll have a full run 1-310
