They look very similar to the existing Ultra Pro signature bags with the added ability to top load. I definitely prefer the blue color of the Ultra Pro bags to the yellow.

um....I just tape and cut out the area to sign...sometimes put inside another bag..sometimes tape a board to the front (like a flap) with order details etc.

Not going to get me to pay more to replace something that seems to work just fine!

I don't know that I would ever use them or prefer them to other pre-made window bags (that I have also never used), but they look fine.

Wouldn't it be great if they put effort into self imposed improvement with the quality of their grading and quality control of their end product, rather than this nonsense?

I like the concept of the idea. Helps to protect the book while being handled and slid around.

Meh. Save your money. I'd rather see them use some better bags for the slabs instead of the trash bags they currently use.

These seem to offer slightly more signing area than the Ultra Pro signature bags. I have used the Ultra pro bags before but the space allowed is focused on the center of the book and we all know that a signature in the middle of the book can be terrible sometimes. Sometimes creators are like “man I really want to sign it over here and how do you get the book out of this thing.” That’s kinda embarrassing when the artists is like this bag is weird and I want to give you a nice signature in a good spot but the bag is preventing me from doing that. This has happened twice so I only use them when required. I don’t think these offer enough space to be more effective than the Ultra Pros.

Just wait until they are required for signings sponsored by the cgc or for submissions to the Signature Series program.

@DrWatson - BINGO! Yet another way for CGC to siphon-off more of your money, just like their shipping kits for sending them comics, various custom labels, extra charges for multiple tiers on the same invoice, etc. Oh, and didn't they try out offering some pre-grade service where they would review pictures of books on eBay and give their opinion?

Cash grab. They didnt like and banned the blue bags, but then made almost the same thing.

My question is, do they send the bags back?

I would be very surprised if they did. They don't send anything back. Why would they send these back? They want you to buy them again.

No, they’ve stated they don’t. A question was asked about backer boards and a rep stated those are kept as well.

CGC discarding non-comic items sent by the consumer is nothing new.

Did you notice in the video that many of the comics they used as examples for the new bag that the signatures actually fell outside of where the window was!!

I'll keep making my own please and thank-you...there are fewer and fewer people left who I want signatures from anyway and those that are around tend to sign the same book in the same place making it easy to pre-prep a bag!

Another cash grab by CGC- Those bags look to big and the comics will definitely move inside it making it very probably that the comic inside will suffer damages. I like the Ultra Pro bags but these look like sh@t.

"Get an expert opinion of authenticity."
Authenticity of what? That it isn't a fake? I can't imagine this refers to grades.

Oh FFS! Now THAT is a money grab. The authenticity part makes some sense if the customer doesn't know what to look for, but an "expert" opinion based on photos? Jeez, learn how to grade and save money! It blows my mind how much is spent on anything BUT the comic book anymore.
