A couple of nice Newsstand Edition Punisher #1's. I had two identical signed issues, but one is now in @Enelson's collection.

A couple I picked up today. I will share some late 90s early 00s; I just need to find them.

I have heard some talk that Newsstand Editions of this issue have seen some recent increases in value. Might be worth a CPR, even if it just got rid of the rivets.

And the new cases are a plus

@esaravo maybe you can convince them that label belongs to another company and use the new promo

@xkonk - You would think they would want to get rid of any and all of this label, Alex. I think they should offer to swap them out for free to remove any evidence that the rivet labels ever existed.

That was the worst idea ever. I think it stopped me from submitting. Someone should have been fired.

Picked these up in a lot at an auction awhile back...has anyone
seen this on a book before? The bar code appears to have been
printed on an adhesive label and applied to the cover.

I've seen used bookstores put a upc label on comics, I am not sure if this is the case.

1st appearance of Maverick.

It's taken a while for me to find a copy at pre-hype pricing. There was speculation that Omega Red would show up in the MCU, Xmen 4 & 5 then hit some highs in pricing.

I'm not sure why I have so many newsstand versions. Is it possible one of the comic shops I used to go to as a kid sold those instead of direct versions?

This one I specifically tracked down a newsstand version when I got back into collecting.

And I don't think there's a direct version of this one. (Though I may be wrong.)
