A HUGE shout out to @Ginosdad, who went to infinity and beyond to present me with a massive haul of comics. Some absolutely gorgeous covers by several outstanding good girl artists. Thank you so much, Ron. I am forever in your debt.

@esaravo Nice! What's that 9.8 book there in the middle? I don't recognize that art and I'm wondering if it's a modern Catwoman cover I actually don't already have.

@CatCovers - Here's a scan of the comic showing the nice Mark Brooks artwork, Greg. This book is THICK (think Frank Cho think) - 140 pages! I am pretty surprised CBCS could even slab it. As you can see from the scan, there are some "Newton Waves" - I just made up that name, and even some Newton Rings, both of which I attribute to the thickness and heft of the book. (Yes, the slab was removed from its bag for the scan.)

I’ve been watching the tracking on this one I mailed on the 8th. Greensboro is an hour from here. It sat there for 3 days. Sent priority mail. I have two others to family members with the same circumstances. I won’t say what I really think of the Post Office in case any of you work for them.

Mailed a package via priority. It was accepted on the 11th. Only update is the 15th for in transit, arriving late. USPS is a crap show at the moment.

USPS has been described as 'at Christmas level' since March basically, and now they have actual Christmas on top of it. They also have unknown numbers of people out sick for obvious reasons, and they have to handle work for UPS and FedEx on top. Frustrating, but not really surprising. My gift was delivered yesterday after being sent priority 10 days ago.

At this point the length of time for delivery has become irrelevant for me. I don't even think about it anymore when I ship or buy. If the package arrives safe and the contents are undamaged, I give it an A+.

I understand things are taking longer but I wish they’d keep the tracking updates at least semi regularly. I just had a package where the package went MIA the day after I sent it and got no updates for two weeks. Then the moment it leaves that facility it goes MIA once again

I was at the Post Office earlier today. I sent a package overnight. It was guaranteed to be there tomorrow at before 3:00. The clerk told me to keep both receipts she gave me as I would need both of them to get a refund when the package didn't make it on time. She told me that she didn't believe it would be there tomorrow with the volume of mail they are dealing with and the amount of employees that are currently out due to COVID.

If it makes any of you feel better, I mailed a book out for the Gerry Conway signing two days before Thanksgiving via 3-Day Priority Mail.

It arrived 13 days later.

I bought a little extra thing to include in my gift exchange. Made the purchase on 11/28. It was shipped first class. It's spent almost three weeks now circling around New Jersey.

Mailing out my gift today also. I'll PM a tracking number to @CatCovers once its out.

I'll send Overnight Express as the USPS has told me a refund is virtually guaranteed at this point and that's likely the only way to get it to the recipient before Christmas.

Just to cosign the USPS shipping situation...while my santa gift made it on time, I presently have 4 items I sold on ebay that were shipped priority on 12/3 that are stuck in various shipping hubs in NJ...meaning they haven't even left the state I live in. It's the worst its been in a while

@starlord I am nervous every year when waiting to get the info of who you're buying for. You always have to try to understand someone's taste in a genre outside of your wheelhouse. They sent me your name and that you collect Wrightson, I'm like...I've got this. lol

It took me a while to find a worthy copy of House of Secrets 94. That's my favorite Wrightson cover, so I wanted to include a copy in my gift. I'm glad you enjoyed the books.

Happy holidays, everyone! Please stay safe and enjoy your time off (if you get any).

@Paulbg2000 Wow, you gave me back so many memories of my late grandfather buying me comics at the neighbourhood convenience store. That House of Mystery 281 is such a memorable cover. So much great horror. I can't believe you found an issue of Kobra! Thank you so much.
