OMG please don't pair me with @sborock. What do you get the man who has seen everything, and posts the most amazing stuff in his "across my desk" posts?

I am in!
I like Silver Age Amazing Spider-man, Fantastic four, Thor & X-men.
I also like the Claremont/Cockrum/Byrne Xmen run.
Dave Stevens covers would be cool as well.

Yeah, if I got @sborock I'd be more likely to send him a generous gift card or something else.

I can't imagine I could get anything comic-related that is worthy or that he doesn't have already.

Although, I'm not participating, one thing I will say is that sometimes the thought and gesture behind a gift is more important than the gift itself.

I know that some otherwise crappy gifts I got were phenomenal because of who gave them or the meaning behind them. I tend to be more sentimental than most people though.....

@Huntergreene2 @Paint_Monk I've known Steve for a long time and I've never known anyone as crazy about comic books as he is. He has literally owned, held, or graded some of the rarest and most expensive books in the world, yet he can't wait to get home when he gets a package of new trade paperbacks in the mail. He's only intimidating to those who don't know him. The man would literally be excited to get a trade of some obscure independent comic series that he's never read before. He's probably easier to please than anyone I know.

I think I will join in this one, and add my cat grimlock. we will take two peoples names as we did last year.

For me its rather easy...Zatanna, new gods, black widow, white queen and marvel enchantress, golden age wonder woman work.

For grimlock, my partner in crime, he collects Tom and jerry, Felix the cat, and any other comic that features a tuxedo type cat. For those that know me, I do read him his comics. Nothing high grade or expensive is needed or sought

Side note, last year Steve Borock drew my name and he was great to me...I treasure the comics and consider them similar to pedigree books in my collection, thanks again Steve.

@Huntergreene2 @Paint_Monk LOL! I am a simple kind of guy when it comes to this type of thing. Love reading TPB's, love collecting things about the history of our hobby, cool comic related stuff that I keep at my desk and love anything related to the Grateful Dead.

If someone gets me, don't spend a lot of money or time on mine. Just have fun with it as I will love anything I get. At the end of the day, it's the thought that counts.

Naturally, I'm going to take part.

I collect comics with Catwoman on the cover. I collect Amazing Spidey. Developed a fondness for Spider-Gwen after watching the Spider-verse movie, but my collection of her is lacking.

Love pre-code crime and horror, and have a deep weakness for the old Fiction House titles, Jumbo, Planet and Wings in particular.

Beyond all that, anything you think is particularly cool and worth a look, that's all good too.

I’d like to join in the exchange again! This’ll be my third year participating, and it’s been one of the most humbling & gratifying events that I’ve ever taken part in. The generosity of spirit shown by members here has sincerely touched my heart every time and makes me proud to be part of such a great community of fellow enthusiasts!

Now that the mushy stuff is out of the way (jk!) I believe I’ll follow in @sborock’s footsteps this year. Usually I’d ask for specific titles or artists, so I think I’ll leave it up to whomever gets my name this year to surprise me. 😁

Okay, Greg, you talked me into it. I am interested in Zatanna, Swamp Thing, Ice Cream Man, and any comics with good-girl art covers by Dave Stevens, Adam Hughes, Stanley Lau, or J. Scott Campbell.

Okay, I'm in as well. I haven't done it in past years and it sounds like fun.

How about some 80's independent comics. Silver or bronze at Marvel. Or anything that is off-beat or unusual.

What I like is pretty much everything. I like stuff based on video games, stuff from Image, something to get signed by (Freddie Kruger) someday, I just started collecting Steranko (he is amazing!). Honestly I will be grateful with anything.

I suppose I'll join in.

In broad strokes I like Harley Quinn, Punisher, Daredevil, Elektra, Spider-Man, or Batman related books, but more specifically, Blank covers, interesting reprints or promos (especially if they have new cover art), and issues from big 90s crossovers (think Fatal Attractions, Knightfall, Death/Return of Superman, Age of Apocalypse, etc)

I want to join in thanking @CatCovers for doing this project this year. That ia what I wanted to see happen here. I think it would be cool to have a different person volunteer each year to run it. It's not really hard, but it does consume some time.

I also want to thank @Mountie73 again for stepping in last year when I went into the hospital.

Sorry, all. Will be a few days longer getting everyone matched up. Started feeling intense pain Sunday night/Monday morning. My last post here was made from the ER. Long story short, a CT scan showed the problem was a 14mm kidney stone shredding its way through me. Surgery tomorrow. Hope to have everything sorted out by the end of the week. Thanks for your patience.

@CatCovers It's a bummer you can't sell a kidney stone the way you can sell a kidney. Sorry, little gallows humor. I've never dealt with one myself but I know several people who have. Kidney Stones usually make for a pretty good story once they're gone. Good luck to you.

Thanks for the wishes, all. First one I've ever had. The pain is really quite remarkable. Hydrocodone blunts the edge a little bit, but not enough for me to actually be able to do anything.

It says something that I'm excited about having a laser inserted you-know-where tomorrow to blast the thing.
