I want to (finally!) thank @Gabriel85301 for the FANTASTIC Secret Santa gifts this year. THANK YOU!

My post was VERY late, but Gabriel's gift was not. I saved it for Christmas and opened it then, but it was hectic as heck, with family and everything, plus my cat had to have surgery, so I am dealing with that. (She came out okay - removed a bladder stone - and is recovering now.) It's not an excuse, I should have found the time, but I didn't.

At any rate, I am looking forward to trying the beef jerky! Looks great! Is this your business? Or that of a friend? I've been curious about the Star Wars comics lately, so I look forward to reading those. And the EAST/WEST collection has been on my list! I just started reading it and am only 2-3 pages in so far.

Thank you, Gabriel! It was a very thoughtful package, and that Iron Man / Captain America looks awesome!

Hey, @PhantomEwan - I'm glad you got your package and I hope you like the mix! I tried to hit all the suggestions: horror comics, Image comics, comics based on video games, and Jim Steranko. I didn't have any Steranko comics, but did you find the secret Steranko message in the Neal Adams pages?

You were BY FAR THE HARDEST Secret Santa I ever had.
I saw you mentioned Tom Taylor so I went searching for Tom Taylor stories. Star Wars came up on the radar and since Star Wars is THE THING RIGHT NOW.. why not?

While I was looking I asked someone about East of West graphic novel and the guy at the store said, "that is the greatest comic ever written..." I'm like ok.. He has high standards story wise too, so it was an automatic.

I didn't know if you eat meat or not but everytime I send a package of comics, I send them a pack of jerky. The business is my brother in laws and I'm somewhat of an addict. He cuts it really thin sliced so you don't struggle chewing it like other jerkys out there. He has a facebook group where he takes orders and also ships it all over the country, along with various sizes and flavors. I'm like to drug dealer, I give people a sample to get hooked and they can order from him. If they want.
I work a store that sells in BULK that starts with a C. I had half my store employees buying jerky from him before I transferred out of there. Enjoy. as for the last one, I thought I'd throw something different for your personal collection, I have no idea what you collect, but 1st SUPER APATIOD? Why not?

Hahaha! Why not indeed!

Tom Taylor wrote those? I had no idea. Cool! I'm also a HUGE Star Wars fan, so this is doubly perfect ... I even have my own Jedi robes, for Star Wars day. But I really just discovered Tom Taylor from the DCeased, which is awesome, so I haven't read ANY of his other stuff.

Sells in bulk and starts with a C? Cheese? You work in a cheese distribution center? I'll bet that goes great with the jerky.

Ok, here we go - a mother load of DC goodness!

These books not only made my Christmas, but quite honestly my year. I told @SpiderTim when I opened my gift the thrill & rush I’d received made me feel just like a kid again! I’m not only grateful and thankful for this excellent assortment, but I’m humbled by the generosity shown to me by @SpiderTim. I cannot thank you enough for these, and I can’t wait to start reading them! Cheers my friend! 😁🍻

My present from @PhantomEwan finally made it today! (as, coincidentally, did our gifts from my dad lol) They are perfect as I have two trade paperbacks with classic stories I haven't read yet, other random goodies to read, a fun cover, and the best Christmas movie of all.

Mine arrived today. Thank you Firehawk2069.

Sadly USPS decided to use my package as a door stop maybe or wheel chuck for the truck? Box was destroyed. 🤦🏼‍♂️

You could try giving them a bad Yelp review. That will probably shake things up at the ol USPS. I joke because I recently had a really bad experience with Whole Foods/Amazon that woke me up to the new business climate we are living in. I sent an Anniversary gift from Whole Foods to a friend, to be delivered day of anniversary. He had his father wait at the house for it. At the delivery time we got a message that there would be no delivery and our money would be refunded. When I tried to complain and ask for some reasonable compensation, the response I got made me realize that the world we live in today is very different than the one 20 years ago at the beginnings of the Internet. No way 20 years ago would Amazon or Whole Foods politely tell me that I should go pound sand if I was unhappy. They would have tripped over themselves to make it right. If we've lost customer service from those 2 companies...I can't imagine who's left amongst the big guys. The reality is that we just have to change our perspectives. We become conditioned to expect quick, cheap and perfect...3 things that when put together can't last very long, something has to give. going forward we will need to be willing to accept occasional grievous imperfections from companies that, quite honestly, are flawless much of the time.

So I did receive a package from my second (not so) secret Santa Rafel. He was a late entry but we exchanged gifts and he was very kind to me.

Some really cool horror themed reading material that I am very stoked to read. I love almost everything John Carpenter and Poe is classic. There is a Japanese Manga book which looks pretty interesting. It will be my first so I am very happy Rafel told me how to read it or I would have been REAL confused! Thank you so much Rafel, and thank you to everyone else just for being such a great community. High fives all around.

My second Secret Santa's also arrived. The Jimmy Olsen would have been plenty, but now I'm going to start reading Spawn I have a couple of #1 issues signed & slabbed and got into the Kickstarter but shamed to admit I never read it. Thanks Fads89.

Hope all of you have a Great 2021.

The package I sent is working its way through a foreign postal system. No movement since 12/30. "Recibir envío en oficina de entrega (entrada), DEPARTAMENTO DISTRIBUCION CENTRAL AMSS (DCAMSS)"

"Receive shipment at delivery office (entrance), AMSS CENTRAL DISTRIBUTION DEPARTMENT (DCAMSS)"

I am glad you like it. I am sorry that the mail system was so slow. I figured you have or have seen every book out there so I thought a print would be more unique for you.
