Checked out one of my lcs today. Picked up this book I've been hunting for 15 years. I'm a big dr who fan since I was a kid growing up in Australia. Checked out the owners many 50c boxes. Only went thru 4 before I better not take much time. Picked these up. Swung past bartels and picked up a Mad. Tend to do that once a year. |

Just purchased another one of these. This one I’ll grade & keep for my personal collection. Hard to believe what these sell for in the package now. A few years ago, they were $30-$40 each. Oh, well. I still have one I’ll be keeping in the package that a boardie was kind enough to sell to me. |

One Hitler cover to another, an early Pulp Hitler cover by the legendary Norman Saunders. This one predates comic book Hitler covers |

@CatmanAmerica May I ask how close you are to having a complete run of the Marvel Mystery series in your collection? I see you post that particular series quite often. If it’s something you’d rather keep private, I completely understand. Just curious.

Also, I'm not a completist collector. On those rare occasions where I do seek putting together a run it's usually limited to a specific set of comics within a longer series. When it comes down to which books interest me, I've always been more of a specific art or artists collector. . |

@BigRedOne1944 Thanks! It's a book I've been keeping an eye out for and happened upon this one after it had just been posted to eBay and jumped on it. Super price I feel as well.

So, not a comic, but definitely comic adjacent. I really wanted to give this a play through. |

So here's another one that I'm particularly excited about. ComicOrama from Canada. Back when these were made the publisher, Editions Heritage, would take unsold copies of the comics, trim them down, bind them together, and make a sort of digest out of several issues. The issue #'s weren't always the same and the cover art was usually something locally made while the interiors included actually issues and covers from the issues. Normally, trimmed and bound comics are not my thing at all and I would give it a hard pass. Given that the publisher did this with their own books makes it different (for me at least). In the U.S. unsold books would usually have the top of the cover removed and be classified as remaindered. In Canada the unsold copies were bound together and then resold. Now I need to track down a nice copy of the individual issue by itself. I very much enjoy how the colors for the cover were changed for the Canadian 129. Anyway, here it is. I hope that all made sense. |

The Spidey complete's my haul from my trade with @Scifinator, and I won the Adventure #355 in an auction a few weeks ago. I asked the seller about other Adventure Comics, and ended up buying three more comics from the guy. These are upgrades for me, and I have to say it is pretty difficult to find DC's from the 1960's in decent shape. |

Really nice copies of Adventure, Ed. Great catch. I've been hunting for a copy of Adventure #256 in an upper-mid grade (say 7.0) or better for some time now. VERY hard to find. |

@Scifinator Is it THAT PARTICULAR 356 or just ASM 356, in general? I think I might have an idea.
