Just got a batch of moderns back from CBCS after having them pressed by Joe at CFP Comics. He did a phenomenal job! Biggest surprise of the batch is this J. Scott Campbell variant of Amazing Spider-Man 648. When I sent it to him it was at best a 9.2. I was hoping for a 9.6 and while I thought a 9.8 was possible I figured it to be a remote chance. Well here it is:  I bought it from an LCS for just $200! Got a few other JSC variants that were able to get a 9.8:     Front cover of this one looks like a 9.8, but there's some rubbing on the back that drops it down.  This Uncanny X-Force has color breaking spine tics - alas a press can't fix those:  Couple other notable books in the submission:       That ASM 36 is the only grade I was disappointed with - I really thought it could have hit 9.8. But what I wasn't disappointed with was Joe's work. I highly recommend him if you're looking to get books pressed. |
