 For all the hate this run of the Punisher gets, I don’t think it was all that bad of a story. Not a fit for the Punisher character but I could see it work as maybe a Hellblazer story. Create a new, street-level vigilante that finds out he’s been manipulated by demonic forces his whole life; it’s not a bad set up |

| I may have posted this before on this forum - not sure but it bears repeating for those who do not know. I talked often with Berni at Baltimore Comicon where he was a somewhat frequent guest over many years of that convention. One of those years after the 1st Thor movie came out, he had several Frost Giant sketches for sale at his table. When I inquired why he was drawing Thor movie Frost Giants he explained that he helped with the concept design for the movie frost giants. This was one of the concept drawings. Needless to say I purchased this one for about the cost of any average modern 9.8. So there you have it... as much as we all know the horror Berni, he had a major hand with the design of the Frost Giants in the Thor movie!  |

A few from the many items in my Bernie Wrightson archives...           This is in my sketchbook that I've carried around with me to conventions for years. I had the first page reserved for when I finally got to meet Wrightson. I asked him if he would draw something in it and he apologized saying that he doesn't do sketches at cons anymore. I told him I'd be happy if he just signed the page. He took it and signed it, and looked around as he handed it back and told me not to let anyone know that he drew a sketch for me. My love for Mr Wrightson cannot be measured by any means on this earth. ❤  |
