One might wonder what the income tax rate would if they had states putting their fingers in that pie like we do. Would Americans live in a state that had a federal 49.5% tax rate and a state income tax on top of it? | ||

| Seattle Police and Fire make 100k per year after 30 months on the job.(City pay scale) Teachers start at about 60k, Seattle Public Schools. Suppose everybody is going to move here now. Of course that isnāt as much scratch as it used to be. But a lot of other folks are really badly underpaid that do not get āheroā status. The guy who picks my celery, for instance. |

| $31.24, assuming they're 40 hours a week, is just about $65k a year. Not bad at all; when I was a 'recruit' scientist I spent 7 years making $25k a year. Entrance qualifications were a little tougher, too. | ||

| I won't speak ill of police in general, but in specific motorcycle officrs making $150K in overtime need to be taken out behind the woodshed. We had one of those in my hometown, his scheme was to write tickets for extremely marginal infractions and then show up in court to earn overtime when the citizens argued the tickets. Everyone knew his name, everyone had gotten tickets from him. He was like the 2nd or 3rd highest paid official in the city. My 50 year old neighbor got ticketed for making "too wide of a turn" (onto the street she lived on for 25 years). He was paid to be a protector, but he was a wolf mauling the sheep. | ||

The cost of living looks crazy compared to my area of the world. If you want to see what the entire city makes there it can be found at OpentheBooks.com City of Seattle Payroll The Mayor there makes more than 48 of the 50 State governors according to the Forbes article I looked at. If you look at the www.openthebooks.com website and look at maps it has all the human waste reports in San Francisco from 2011-2019. The map is eyeopening. There are over 75,000 reports.  |
