This is a rather interesting, insightful article in to the TV and movies stars at conventions and the dollar dealings between them, the con organizations and just how much money they can net in one weekend (sometimes more than they'd make guesting on a tv show) http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/stars-getting-rich-fan-conventions-933062 |

Step 1: Become a minor star in a comic related show. Step 2: Sign name hundreds of times at a convention. Step 3: Profit! |

In the 90's I worked in a sports store saw a hockey player make 40 grand in less than 2 hours. He signed about 1200 items, which was pretty much two letters and a number. All he had to do was walk into the room from the locker room after their morning skate sign everything and walk out with 4 stacks of hundy's. If you've every seen Stan Lee sign at a con you know how they have that set up to be a cash grab I bet he brings in over $200,000 a day easily at a con with auto's and pics. |

You just have to get lucky with one tv series and you can rake it in. The hard part is getting lucky with that one show. Cool read...thanks for sharing. |
