My picks to send today:

Avengers #44
Dark Mysteries 14
Hot Rods and Racing Cars 20
Marvel Tales 142
Uncanny Tales 35

May not be high value but the golden age ones have to be preserved and the others just look cool.

For those that took advantage of this promo. Did you select the fast pass box or is fast pass automatically added? Thank you.

@mattness Steve said the Fast Pass would be automatically added, as long as you write the promo code on the invoice.

@mattness I asked this same question and was told they will automatically add the Fast Pass so not to add it on your submission.

@mattness - We were told not to select the fast pass option since it is part of the promotion. However, you still have to hand write the promo code on the Invoice you include with your order, since it doesn't seem to take the promo code on the form (but there is a place for it on when you fill out the on-line form, so that is an improvement).

Got the tracking number. I'm going to wait til it arrives so I can be surprised by the grades. Hopefully good surprises.

Tracking says it will arrive Sunday. I honestly didn't know FedEx delivered on Sunday. Normally I look at them right away but I'm going to really try to save all my disappointment for Sunday like I do when I watch the Bengals.

Good news
My books arrived today safe and sound and I can already see them on my dashboard
pretty quick

Bad News
The total price has not been adjusted to reflect the 10% discount
Hopefully when they do charge me the amount it will be adjusted to reflect the 10% discount

The ten books I sent in were delivered to CBCS today at 2:22 PM. Thankfully I don’t have to worry about them trying to be delivered on a Saturday, meaning they probably wouldn’t get delivered until Monday. I should get the email and see them on my dashboard as submitted early next week. Let the clock start ticking.
Damn, Mike, I hope you get your books back Saturday. Your ability to wait for the grades is commendable.

@KatKomics - Send them in tomorrow or Monday, Josh, to take advantage of the savings and the fast pass. Plus, I might be interested in one of those Mister Miracle #1’s. lol

@esaravo ...man.....but that means driving my car or going outside my 3 or 4 kilometer walking radius from my house - so much easier to stay in my bubble and have comics delivered!!

Suppose I have a few more days to flip flop yet again!!

True, but look at the sexy slabs everyone is getting back. Besides, if you are getting them pressed, you want to do it now while you don't need to flip them in a hurry.

Got my order together for the mail tomorrow. Mostly seeing where I'm at on some of my early X-Men. 36, 40, 49, 52, 54, 59, 61, 63, 66. And a Hero for Hire #1 to round it out.

I've picked out which books I want to send in:

Jumbo Comics 142 (Northford copy)
Shock SuspenStories 8, 14, 15, 17
Superman 45 (it's got a spine roll and a non-color-breaking crease I'd love to see get fixed)
Tales from the Crypt 28

But now that I've picked out the books and figured the price, I keep thinking I could buy myself a couple more nice comics with that money. Sigh. Decisions.

Well.....I've at least entered a submission form and dropped 3 books (Plastic Man, Captain Marvel and Sub Mariner) to reduce costs - VINTAGE2020 is only 10% huh????

Have a box on hand and bubble wrap.....2 of the books are in slabs already so they will sandwich the others...have to go out into the real world to mail them I guess!

I’m sure they’d fix it, but I’d call them about it.

@KatKomics

When I submitted books for spawn 300 and 301 I had no idea what covers were what. I just arbitrary chose stuff and prayed they would set it right. (Not saying you should be so stupid and follow my lead, but they sorted it with no issues)

Just frustrating!! I entered the order in US and again in CAD...figured out the exchange rate and decided to go with US so entered the order again - reviewed again but still missed that when the auto populate came up I must have clicked the wrong title!!
Oh well.....e-mail will be sent - doesn't look like they have a toll free #

The promo text says postmarked before August 31st, is that inclusive of August 31st? Please tell me yes... Also, is the promo covering Dec 1975 books and older, or books cover dated Dec 1974 and older? I'm left to assume that books postmarked August 31st are PAST the cutoff and that Books after Dec 1974 cover date are not allowed.

Sitting here looking at a stack of 55 books to send in depending on the answers!

@agamoto

Any chance of going to an office depot and shipping it today?

Edit

And I would imagine its dec 31, 1974 and before

Nm office depot and max closed for the day

I can box them up and buy the shipping today, so I think it would have today's date on the waybill, but tomorrow would be the pickup. End of the month totally snuck up on me!

Pretty sure the postmarked date is what you have to worry about. If you can, print that sucker out tonight.

Good luck. I look forward to seeing what you submit.

I'm hoping I can get an official word from someone at CBCS soon because I don't want to send in this many books if I can't get the deal. I already assumed Dec 1974 was the cover date cut off, so I'm good there, but I really want to be sure I can get the 10% off +fast track as it's a $1682 bill, and I haven't even looked at shipping cost yet.

Not submitting anything too crazy:

Just got back to my house after a near 2 week mandatory evacuation due to wildfires. House and fortunately comix are safe but im afraid I missed the cut off date for this promo. should I mail them off anyway, perhaps with a note, and assume they will still give me the promo? What do y'all think?
