Time to dig through the silvers...

Edit: Dug up 13 books. Might have to make it 12 or add one for 14. I don't like sending in odd amounts.

Actually have a shelf with books to get graded.....like @esaravo it's what to send in and then pay for it all.

Can we use the CBCS Canada form but direct submit to Dallas??

I'm not sure submissions sent to the Canada office are making it to the head office.

So, I have several Silver Age and a Golden Age book I’ve been waiting to submit.

Some need a press and at least one is low enough grade that a press would be potentially detrimental.

If they’re all the same tier, with some being pressed & some not being pressed, would they all qualify for the promo?

Of course, press fees would not be discounted. I just want to clarify that they would otherwise receive the grading discount & free expedited grading.

Always submit it multiples of 5, Mike. It cost just as much to return ship 11 books as it does 15 books (unless you are talking books worth >$500 each).

I dropped it to 10, but might go up. Need to look through the X-Men boxes next.

I would love to use this promotion but my Silver Age books are all in El Salvador and the postal service is currently off with all this covid stuff going on and I wouldn't want to risk them getting lost!

Fantastic Four #31 9d UKPV, 54 10d UKPV
Iron Man #14, 54, 56 6p UKPV
Strange Tales #138
Sub-Mariner #59 National Diamond Sales insert
X-Men #20, 28, 29

There might be one or two that crack the 9 range, but I think most are in the F+ to VF+ range. No pressing for any of these so hopefully my eyes got better since the last time.

I just picked up 4 golden age books, maybe I'll throw a silver age in and send it, just not sure whether to use the CBCS US or Canada submission form. I assume if I use US the amounts will be in $USD.

@Huntergreene Avoid CBCS Canada for now...with the uncertainty of the border you won't know when your books will be returned.

I sent my submission directly to CBCS in Dallas. It's all US dollars on the website.

I don't think the shipping depends on multiples of 5's anymore. The last CBCS shipping price chart I saw on the forums, I know is outdated now.

Anyone else notice on the submission site that VINTAGE2020 doesn't fit in the box? It won't allow the last 0.

This still needs to be fixed as well as the "Slab Only" price (when you include the signature you want verified it tacks on an extra $25)

I'd like to send in 5 or 10 comics to take advantage of this month's promo. Here's 5 candidates that I am considering - one low grade key and some nicer books with great covers. Would you submit any of them for grading? Thanks for the input.

@esaravo

For what it's worth, after slabbing the book, it should be easier to sell. Youd be amazed what people will buy seeing something graded versus raw.

But from what I see, they are all slab worthy. Even before the promotion....

Due to their condition, they’re all good candidates. As far as personal collecting preference goes, the Wonder Woman book would be my top choice.

I shipped a 15 book submission for this promo, ranging from low grade keys on up to things that fingers crossed will grade out pretty well. One book was a panic submission - I planned to submit what I recalled to be a high grade copy of Kamandi #1, but then found the centerfold to be detached. I instead included something else, and already think of a dozen other books that should have gone instead. There’s always next time, right? When I get the books back, I’ll post some pics and analysis to my blog www.collectorsyndicate.com. Here’s a couple of the low grade keys that were included:

My submission is out the door and on its way. So with the free "fast pass" as part of this promo, we should see them back about 3 weeks from receipt? Current TAT is 5-6 weeks per the last update I saw.

Those who made submission on this promo already, please let us all know when you get yours back and what the TAT was.
