| I got a really good deal on a nice CGC Restored FF48 4.0, CGC dinged it purple because the front cover has one tear seal. I want to resubmit it to CBCS since the majority of my Keys are all CBCS. Should I leave the tear seal and if so how badly will it ding the grade or seek having it removed?  |

| Depending on how it was sealed, glue, tape or other. If you want to submit to cbcs you can call hero restoration, they can do the removal and then submit the book right to cbcs for you. They are easy to talk to with a lot of good information. Keep us posted on what you end up doing | ||

| @GAC depends on what was used. Archival you can usually remove with water. Glue or Tape would require skills or a pro. | ||

| @Batman66 @Stu Thanks guys for the recommendation. I can remove the tear seal myself. My concern is if its worth the trouble. Would CBCS ding the book more for the long cover tear vs leaving it as a tear seal with a conservation notation on label. | ||

| Probably depends on what all else is going on with the book to make it a 4.0. Maybe it wouldn't drop at all. In terms of value it would probably be worth more as a 3.0 or maybe even 2.0 than a conserved 4.0 though, right? | ||

| It's just such a strange concept to me to spend money to make something worse, not better. I can't think of any other part of life where I would do that. I don't think it's natural, I think it's conditioning from a somewhat irrational part of the comic collecting hobby. | ||
