| Shocker alert! shocker alert!!! the Maple Laughs have lost...repeat..the Maple Laughs have lost!!! I know it's been forever and supposedly the organization has changed but I still hold to the Ballard curse!!! Why put a quality team on the ice when you are sold out every night?? I blame this on the fans!! every fan since 67 - this is your fault!! Also one of my grade school teachers -who taught us 'Hockey' math (that's right...all math was hockey themed!) with the Leafs as the hockey team in all the math problems |

| I actually thought they had a chance when they were not starting off against the bruins then when i realized that the team they would have to face is the team most like the bruins...i did not have to much hope. But hey, they made it exciting with Saturday's comeback victory. | ||

| I went to bed just assuming the Leafs would blow it. I see they stuck to the script. All that talent and they can't get it together. I'm pretty sure it doesn't upset the NHL and NBC one bit as they aren't fans of small-market teams or Canadian teams advancing through the playoffs. Personally, I think it would be hilarious to have a Vancouver vs Montreal final because the NHL and NBC would be pissed they have to air it in the US especially games coming from a mostly Francophone area. I was a little skeptical about the playoffs starting in August and moving the new regular season back to December, but I have to say that I really liked the format they went with for it. A lot of players looked rejuvenated with that extra 4.5 months off before they started this tourney. |
