Can This Defect be "Insignificant Enough" for a 9.6 Grade?12469

| Just curious as to folks thoughts - This is a snippet of a Gold Key from the late 1970's. Clearly there is color rub/loss in the corner. The book was given a 9.6 grade from the "other" company. Thoughts? yea? nay? My personal opinion - I don't see how it's appropriately graded as 9.6, but maybe this is ok for Gold Keys from late 70s  |

| I suppose my remaining question is does a corner surface rub/abrasion = manufacturing bindery tear? (i.e. was it classified correctly as a bindery tear, when it's not even a tear. It's surface color rub/loss) Unless that corner color loss was present during manufacturing I am not feeling it. |
