Overstreet Retro Pricing12456

Keep your $6.87 bro... not even saving tax with that. Cli4dR3D0g private msg quote post Address this user
I know it's tough knowing what a book is worth these days, but if anybody needs help on pricing just hit me up and I'll gladly help out.

Funny thing is, back then they used to call it the overprice guide.

Seems a bit biased.

Why not “Happy Anniversary DC Comics!!”?

It's from 1986-1987. Prices seem legit if anybody is selling.

First Overstreet price guide was 1970 with a print run of 1000. A second edition of 800 was also released that year.

They were good for a long time though. I still reread the old market reports when I am bored.

Thanks for posting the old Overstreet photo's!
If anyone is in the mood I want to see ASM & Batman page prices from #1, #8, or #16.
I was a young kid back in the 80's, and mostly bought new books, then after a few years I sold the majority of my comics (the one I regret most is my mint ASM #300) and my baseball cards. But fortunately I kept some of my older keys, and over the years I would check in at a local comic shop, and ask to look at the store copy of Overstreet and write down the new prices and save them in a binder. Later I got interested, and started collecting again.

That's funny! I remember around the '87, '88 timeframe, Overstreet was the reasonable one, and "Comics Value Weekly" was the more, um, exuberant guide. (We used to call it "Comics Inflated Weekly." The joke in the store was, use Overstreet to buy comics and CVW to sell them.)

That was the year I went from just reading comics to collecting. That was the first price guide I ever got. Still have it in storage i think.

Very nice, I've got the signed 1st edition #1 cover. While it is a printer's proof, it is the actual cover used on the book. Same paper stock, same dimensions, printed on both sides... I can't tell you how tempting it's been to pop the cover off my old #1.

"Happy Anniversary Marvel Comics!!" isn't specific enough? Companies never make a big deal of anything between five and 10 year intervals.
