If the viagra is working you should be well over a 9.8. | xkonk private msg quote post Address this user
I guess to be fair they didn't say where it would be released on Aug 28. But there's no way movie theaters will be open and/or doing much business a month from now. If they want it on Disney+ they should just put it there, and if they don't they should say "as soon as people can see movies again". Or at least pick a day more than a month out.

I had no way of knowing that 9.8 graded copies signed by Adam Hughes weren't what you were looking for. | drchaos private msg quote post Address this user
After showing as sold out yesterday the Locke and Key fascimilie is available again this morning on the IDW site. No such luck for Turtles, Usagi, etc. |

I believe Mike Royer & Barry Geller have a panel today at 12:30 about Jack Kirby's Lord Of Light. It's a project Barry has been working on for 4 years now- Touch and go at times, with lots of frustration, but I believe they'll be announcing the release of the statues based on the Art by Kirby/Royer. Mike assisted with the "Inks" design, and I even made a design suggestion that solved an aggravating problem with the faces. Anyway, I hope it's something people will enjoy. I have to admit, since the start of this project I've seen very little convention interest. It's been as though Jack Kirby fans only care if it's a comic book with super heroes |

@Siggy "Jack Kirby's Lord Of Light. It's a project Barry has been working on for 4 years now..." I am not familiar with this project. I'm a Thundarr The Barbabrian fan that I've been told is a Jack Kirby design. The character in the show used to often say "Lords of Light". Is this project related to that in any way? |

I have checked out the Marvel and DC panels so far but have not witnessed any announcements of any note. Kind of dull so far. |

Just read in a local paper that a RI playwright named Lenny Schwartz put together a quarantine film called "Comic Book Junkies." The story was written when the San Diego Comic Con was canceled, and is about a group of cosplayers save the world during the pandemic. It will air on Facebook Live tomorrow at 8 PM on the movie page. I don't have Facebook, but Schwartz said he hopes to get it on Amazon Prime.

Quote:Originally Posted by GAC That's the art, but the film's accounting is incorrect. Even so, the art played a part in the release of the hostages in Iran. Barry groaned (with a smile) when I asked him to sign my copy of the film, and added a great comment. Mike Royer was completely unaware of his "small" part in history until the film was released. Here's a link to Barry's site. The art was featured in Heavy Metal #276. |

Flippers are out in force on ebay with the Transformers '84 #1 variant. Asking $100ish for it. I would hope people don't buy them just so they can be stuck with a book that will crash once the hype wears off but I know better than that.

Transformers '84 #1 SDCC exclusive arrived and it was like a I figured. They're both kinda dinged up but it's ok because I didn't get gouged on the 'Bay by the profiteers. I did however find a copy of the Texas Comicon variant and hope that it is packed and shipped with love. Edit: it's coming via media mail. Looking forward to it. With people doing "presales" on the books at $100/book in some instances and people buying it, I think that's crazy. Without it being in hand and seeing IDW's shoddy paperstock now, there's no way I could go sight unseen for that much. But, people will pay it without seeing it. I would love for them to help themselves but you're right. If they feel a strong need to have the issue, then they'll do it.

I received my order of two copies of each of the DC foil variants pictured. They weren’t packed great either, but arrived in solid shape. They’re on their way to CBCS as part of a Grade Screen submission. |
