| Between the Ronin Bartling variant, these SDCC Momoko's - it's like the collective collector's minds have been lost all at once. Hundreds of dollars being thrown at these books. Definitely should be more than cost, but hundreds and hundreds initially? Sheesh | ||

People are stupid. There are very few modern anythings that I would pay out the ass for. So if you gave this, holler at me.  IDW's paperstock is super crummy now. I ordered two copies of TF '84 #1 because I feel one won't be looking well. |

Coincidence or coordinated?   Well, last year I signed up on Alex Ross’s waiting list for another shot at the 80th Anniversary ‘Tec and Lo and Behold ...to my surprise... earlier today an email notification pops-up in my box that ‘Tec 1000 (Ltd. Ed., 9.8 graded signature series) is back in stock. Based on prior experience I acted quickly, snapping up a set while available. Last year I struck out, couldn’t get to first base obtaining a copy. Today, an in-field home run. Maybe it’s just batty thinking, but the timing of this opportunity makes me believe it was sync’d in some way with the virtual SDCC. |

| The New Mutants panel has yet another release date. Hypothetically it's going to be in theaters on August 28, which really seems like a joke at this point. There's some footage from the movie that looks pretty solid. They also had a couple of Twitter contests, one for a custom poster and one to see an advanced screening. | ||

| I guess to be fair they didn't say where it would be released on Aug 28. But there's no way movie theaters will be open and/or doing much business a month from now. If they want it on Disney+ they should just put it there, and if they don't they should say "as soon as people can see movies again". Or at least pick a day more than a month out. | ||

| I believe Mike Royer & Barry Geller have a panel today at 12:30 about Jack Kirby's Lord Of Light. It's a project Barry has been working on for 4 years now- Touch and go at times, with lots of frustration, but I believe they'll be announcing the release of the statues based on the Art by Kirby/Royer. Mike assisted with the "Inks" design, and I even made a design suggestion that solved an aggravating problem with the faces. Anyway, I hope it's something people will enjoy. I have to admit, since the start of this project I've seen very little convention interest. It's been as though Jack Kirby fans only care if it's a comic book with super heroes  |
