For Omega, Mooney was credited for both pencils and inks for eight of those issues in the run(I believe). He also inked the Lee Elias issue. Good call on being under appreciated. His pages looked good.

I think that some inkers get "love". Scott Williams comes to mind when he's pared with Jim Lee. While Jim Lee has worked with other inkers I don't think his work his work looks as good as it does when Scott Williams is helping out.

Todd McFarlane's inking on Greg Capullo is out of this world. Throw Chance Wolf in there on the Spawn issues he helped McFarlane ink and you really get something that is beyond what mortal artist should be able to create. Chance Wolf's career was cut short by carpal tunnel syndrome. That's too bad because his work on Spawn and ShadowHawk is wonderful and shows how much talent he has inking different artist and making their pencils pop.

He was known to be "fast". Royer inked AND lettered 3 pages per day without changing Kirby.
I think Royer deserves the love he gets....
My special book from Mike Royer thanks entirely to Siggy for getting the comic from him, then having it signed for me...thanks Siggy!

You're very welcome. I don't recall the #6- You got that one on your own?

I agree Mike deserves the love he gets, but until the last few years I don't think he got the love he deserves. It seems that since the Kirby celebration at SDCC '17, his invites to shows have multiplied.

If anyone really wants to make his day at a convention, bring your copies of his non-super hero work, especially the Disney stuff.

Another inker that gets overlooked but is solid is Mike DeCarlo. He's a super nice guy too. His work includes -

With Perez on the Judas Contract
With Aparo on Ten Nights of The Beast
With Apraro on A Death in the Family

Mike Royer, of course.
I had my eyes on this Silver Surfer for a couple years before he decided to sell it. I asked him to inscribe this one "Cosmicly" instead of "Comicly", and he got kick out of it. Unfortunately (not really) he used it a few more times on various items, but this is the first.

The 2nd is a character Mike created in the late/early 60's/70's. This was drawn during his Disney years.

The last 2 pages (Odin) are full size 1st generation prints (I think that's the term) of Erik Larsen's pencils and Mike's inks, taken by Mike as a record of his work. I have a stack of these, mostly of Mike's and Steve Rude's work (Captain America: What Price Glory, and Thor: Godstorm, Mister Miracle Special, FF #50 vol3, Avengers: Ultron Imperative ch7). Would you believe he was going to dump them in the recycle bin once he decided he didn't need them? I hope to have them all bound, Pencils on the left page, Inks on the right. Not sure if single pages can be bound, though. Certainly not like comics.

@Siggy I researched book binding a few years ago. I'm positive that single page binding can be done. However, the information I was looking at was for standard 8.5" x 11" computer print paper of various weights. I would think they could do it to any size paper, it would just be a matter of cost. If you ever do decide to do it, I think it would look wickedly cool!!!

@Jesse_O Thanks! I'm hoping I can find someone who can stamp (gold) both their signatures under the title. Leather bound, I hope (nothing faux), but that depends on the price.
As cool as it would be have each issue in its own binding, that would probably cost a fortune. 3 would probably be a bit as it is.
