Update on my reholder order - went into shipping yesterday. That's 3.5 weeks from the day it was received, so they're running just past their stated turn around times listed on the website.

@kon_jelly From the date that they received the shipment or the date CBCS checked it in and marked as "Received"?

@kon_jelly the official turn around time starts the next business day after CBCS receives it in the mail. If you submit at a con, it is the Wednesday after the con ends.

Dang, they're (15 modern, no pressing) now in grading. That was quicker than I thought.

Received August 18, on a 4-6 week standard TAT, been in heatseal all this week, assuming i'll see it wrapped up between today and monday and they'll send them out right at the quote.. which is fine of course!! overall getting to labels was faster than expected, but i admit i have no idea how long or what heatseal is, and was disappointed it's taken all week haha

How long are books typically in labels? No update on that for about two weeks. Is labeling including encapsulation?

Each department has several steps and stops.
Labels is part of the post grading production, and comes before heat seal and encapsulation.

I didn't see heat seal on my invoice , guess it isn't show there. Mine went right from press to labels

@Comicninja0215 some of them go quickly and sometimes the system just doesn't update in real-time. I wouldn't expect to see every stage in every order just because the updates on our end aren't perfect.

A more pertinent question might be if he / she clicked the invoice link to see true status.....

@Bronte Correct.....@mgm05e this is where you see the true status.

@mgm05e also, the date on the invoice is not the start of your tat. The tat clock starts the next business day after CBCS receives them in the mail, or the Wednesday after a con if you submitted at one. The date you see on the online invoice is the date the invoice was created. This is just FYI in case you weren't aware of it. It is a common mistake.

@Jesse_O ya, my invoice date is 8/16. The date that I received the email saying it was in hand was 8/21. I never received an email saying it was entering the grading room and on my dashboard it says processing. The only "invoice" link I see is after I click on my order # on the dashboard, and that downloads a PDF of my invoice. It also says processing when I click my order # though.

@mgm05e Chin up friend. It's been 7 weeks as of tomorrow since my shipment arrived at the CBCS Canadian Offices and my orders still read as "Submitted". They haven't even made it to "Received" yet.

It took me two emails (a week apart) to get an answer that they're currently on their way to Dallas.

Wait? You sent yours to Oakville that recently and they are on the way to Dallas? I sent mine to Oakville in May and haven't even seen the invoice number at all.

I sent in my order 6 months ago for a signing. My account still says that it is in billing status. Any updates? I am getting to the point where I just want my books back unsigned/ungraded and refunded.

I really need to stop checking and just wait for the emails haha. everything has been moving fine and they're right on the other side of the 4-6 week window, so i'm not worried or bothered, but not knowing how long each phase lasts got my hopes up, like when it moved into labels two weeks ago i was like OH BOY, but now it's been in heat seal for a week and stuff takes time and i need to stop assuming things are imminent, so i'm really just teasing myself by looking at statuses that i know nothing about haha

@Huntergreene I may have a tidbit of good news for you on that front actually. They said they were pushing the Canadian orders to the front so they could get them back to their customers as soon as possible. So, I'm assuming that meant a healthy backlog of orders that were piling up in Oakville collecting dust? Hopefully yours is in that group.

Wow, 7 weeks exactly and the status of one of my two submissions just changed to Received and Processing. Finally. At least I now have an idea of when I might see my books back. I hope.

Order of 4 moderns, received 8-21, still in “grading” after 2 weeks. Tomorrow, 10-2, marks 6 weeks exactly,*sigh*. On the bright side, my June 4th pressing order should be done around Christmas. *sigh* again

Update: Both orders are now Received and Processing. They've been charged to my card. I hope everyone else with Canadian submissions in the last few months experiences the same very shortly if they haven't already!

Heard today for the first time something about my Canadian submission from last March!

The books are received!

They are off to press.

Will I get them before 2021? I ask as I'm not sure any of us will survive 2020 and I would like to see at least a final grade...

Odds are the invoice is still in the signing phase as the Pandemic has slowed things down greatly unfortunately.

Are emails backed up too? I have sent several and not rec'd responses. Mostly just tentative newbie questions but having read how long this process takes, esp. for Canadian submissions, I am not sure I want to start it.
