@KatKomics It's funny, I had a long post all typed up yesterday to vent and decided not to post it. And you probably posted yours around the same time. Yes, the biggest issue I have with CBCS these past 6 months has been terrible communication with their paying customers. Sorry, but your customers shouldn't have to harass you with multiple emails just to get an answer on their order. Delays and issues should be posted on the website for people to see before they submit their books. We shouldn't have to rely on a rep from CBCS occasionally seeing a post on the forum and helping out. There should be a dedicated position (or team) to address these concerns. Especially considering the state of the world right now. That person could just sit at home and answer the phone/emails. This is a normal thing businesses do. It's called customer service. If I can go to the post office and ship out a package to a US address and it gets there close to the standard time, then what the heck is CBCS doing with our orders right now? They might even have a good, or acceptable reason for this. But we'll never know because no one seems to want to stand up, accept responsibility, apologize, and most importantly communicate as to what the heck is going on. I don't want re-reimbursement, I don't want a gift or credit. I just want my books back that I've already paid for in full. I submitted a big order to CGC a week or two ago for pressing and grading. We'll see how that goes. (I'm usually a bit less blunt and more upbeat, but this has really been a thorn in my side and I'm very frustrated at this point.) |

I have a somewhat related question... How does Universal Distribution actually courier our submissions? I read elsewhere on these boards they use "Gaylord" (**snicker**) boxes to transport our submissions in bulk, but are they transported by plane, train, or automobile? |

I agree with most posters, have books in and have heard very very little.... going to hold off submitting anything until CBCS gets their act together.... the biggest issue I see is TOTAL lack of communication.

question for those who know... I sent 3 invoices in one box. 2 were marked as received today while the 3rd was not. I suspect this is a result of the 3 orders being different speeds of service (fast pass, modern 2-day & regular old grade and slab). is this assumption correct or should I be concerned for order #3?

Hi Thank you all for your stories with regards to sending books via the Canada Facilities. Bottom line we all (Canadians) have an extra waiting time. My books were - Shipped to Oakville September 30 2020. - Received their a couple of days after. - Arrived to Dallas around first week of November 2020 - January 2021 the books were graded and encapsulated (mid January) - Shipped to Canada status since end of January 2021 Almost 5 months... I just would hope that CBCS communication would be better or at least they could for the clients using the Canadian facility explain the process from the point they received the books at Oakville to the moment they are back. If we knew for example that they ship once a month from CAN - US and vice-versa we would have a better idea. What happens once the books return to CAN, how many days before they are ship back to the clients. Sometime the best communication is a simple picture! |

@joseabc Yeah, that's pretty much the general consensus. It's okay if something is late. Even very late considering the circumstances. Does it suck? Sure! But it's understandable. It's the lack of answers and accountability for our orders. Not knowing is far worse than having a confirmed 6 month ETA that you can at least plan for/look forward to. |

That’s all we want, a straight answer, listen we have some issues with the orders, it will arrive but we’re facing some issues. Since September ShiptoCanada, they say to contact such and such and no reply, no nothing. Does the US shave the same issues? Is there something or someone that I could reach out to know what’s the 411? |

I saw that a mod came on and asked specifically about the delayed order that was sent direct to Dallas. They didn't ask about any of the Canada office orders. That seems telling. It kind of appears as if they just don't want to tell us something... were our books lost/damaged?

There is no need to worry about your books. |

FYI people!!! Did you notice the new banner on the home page regarding shipping delays due to the weather in Texas!!! Not to minimize what is going on in Texas but I had almost forgotten as up here it was like a 1 day news story and that was it..onto the next news cycle. Guess things are not 100% up and running yet |

@KatKomics I don't see a banner on CBCS, but mycomicshop had something for a bit. I think they basically shut down shipping for a week. Texas had it really bad, but basically the entire middle of the US got unusually cold for a few days, along with snow and whatnot. Things are slow all along the chain and Texas in particular is a mess. |

Is there any difference on TAT for books that got signed at CBCS? I know CGC expedites the process. Wasn't sure if CBCS did the same.
