@salperalta Totally normal this past year. Keep emailing until you get a response. It took me two attempts spaced a couple weeks apart. It's particularly bad when submitting to the Canadian office. My advice is to submit directly to the US while the pandemic restrictions are in place. (and no, there's no warning on the website for you to see before submitting, I know. I had the exact same problem.)

@dalvar See above. I too have held off on what was to be another submission as I put in two batches in August and am still waiting on the 2nd one to get back to me. They are absolutely working on it and the status will change at some point, but the communication is little to none. I suspect they are severely understaffed in their customer service department.

I was able to get a hold of someone via telephone today and I did get confirmation that they do have my books in possession.... thank God. They are supposed to notify me of what the delay is in payment however. At least I know they have them. That was my biggest concern.

I'm still going to hold out on any new submissions as I have books dated back to Nov. 20th that have not been acknowledged as of today..... a bit concerned.

Is this because you are in Canada?

I am indeed in Canada..... does this have any thing to do with it.... I am not sure.... I submitted books on the 17 of nov. within days they were marked as processing. Submitted another batch on the 20th (three days later) and that batch has not been acknowledged as of yet... still marked as submitted. So at this point I have lost faith and put my future submissions "on hold"

I'm wondering because I'm sending my books to CBCS for the first time "not a a Con." And you have me scared. Lol. I'm wondering if it is a Canada thing or if EVERYONE is experiencing this.

Not sure Qillabee, but I am holding onto the books I have until I see if they can indeed come through with grading promises (so far not good)

My Nov order took i want to say 4 weeks?? before it changed to received status. I had tracking so i knew it was there. I was told it doesnt change to received until Dallas has the books.

My guess...your books are in Dallas but with Christmas break and maybe increased submissions they are waiting to be entered into the system.

Try emailing Steve Paulus the Canadian CBCS rep....he may be able to give more info than what shows on the dash

Is this because you sent them from Canada? And if it says they are there, why wouldn't they be in Dallas?

If you sub to CBCS Canada your books go to Oakville Ontario and they send a bunch of orders down at once...not sure on the timing..once a week?? two weeks?? Then they get unpacked and entered in the system once in Dallas. Takes a few weeks lomger total TAT but no hastle with customes or FedEx charging brokerage fees. Fyi...sending books for grading/appraisal is not a duty paid activity

The Canadian submissions to go Ontario first. They are then sent on to Dallas. I chose this route because it was my first time submitting and I was worried about getting nailed with duties for the return of my books. I thought it would be easier to let CBCS handle all the cross-border shipping.

My order went like so thus far:

Mailed: Oct. 19th
Delivered to CBCS (Canada): Oct. 22nd
Rec'd in Dallas: Nov. 6th
Grading: December 23rd

Current status: grading.

@Qillabee I've had no problems with recent submissions being checked in (given that I don't checking my status for updates every day, and don't send through the Canadian office) or with signature verification in the past.

Wow..Aug 29th order now ready to be shipped.

Don't sweat your status updates...they are obviously not in time with the real activities.
Otherwise I went from Grading, to Case, to Ship in less than 48 hours with all the time before that in pressing.

I've got 5 submissions currently on their way to CBCS. Two re-holdering submission, 2 silverage subs and 1 modern sub. I'm thinking I'll have them back in April...January's promo is a good one.

41 days and still no books. I hope they arrive soon. (Usually when I post things suddenly happen, so I'm giving it a shot. Lol.)

My order from October 15th moved to Ship to Canada yesterday, hopefully that tipped the scale and they bulk ship soon for all the Canucks awaiting their orders.

Now for my December 18th order....still says submitted. I know Canada Post delivered it...so just keep playing the waiting game I suppose.
