I want to send some books in for verified signatures. Any idea what the turnaround times on those are?

@Qillabee usually adds a week to whatever the normal TAT would be. https://www.cbcscomics.com/estimated-turnaround-times

I just got an order back. The foam sheets added to the bags is very nice! Great idea!

@Mountie73 - It’s actually an old idea that is being reintroduced.

While we're on the topic, I want the CBCS boxes back.

The boxes add too much to the cost of shipping. Both the cost of the box and extra weight. Bubble wrap and sturdy, proper size single box costs less money and is plenty secure.

I also didn't find the CBCS inner boxes particularly reusable. Which is what I try to do with cardboard boxes, bubble wrap and packaging peanuts. Reusing is better than recycling. But the CBCS inner boxes were not a particularly good size for shipping 5-10 raw comics. The Flip N' Ship mailers much better. And the CBCS inner boxes were insufficient by themselves for shipping slabs. So if eliminating the inner boxes saves a buck or two on shipping, I'm good with with it.

I reuse the MCS slab boxes any time I have the opportunity, and I did/would do the same with CBCS boxes. They also spread the brand and look nicer than a giant pack of bubble wrap.

Does anyone have any info on how long a completed order typically sits as "Ship to Canada"?

The CBCS website fights with itself: the front page says the TAT is down to 6 weeks while the new turnaround time page still says 8.

Packaged up a couple of comics on Nov 17th with the CRYSTALCLEAR (Get my comic out of this darn cgc slab) Promo. Went into "Grading" sometime last week and are in "Labels" now. Projects out to be appx 6 week TAT from check in to shipped.

Modern and without fast pass.

Turnaround with fast pass and shipping direct to Texas has been so good to me lately. I'm just waiting on another promo to come around so I can send in another batch of books that aren't needing to be pressed.

I'm shipping direct from Canada as all the benefits of using the Canadian office seem to be negated by the extra wait time. And shipping to the US is pretty cheap when using Paypal/Netparcel/UPS. Like, less than $20 for a box of 10 books.

Oh they were delivered to the Canadian CBCS offices on August 13th, 2020. The 29 days is just the count from the last status change.

And yeah. It's been rough for a lot of us going without any accurate updates or much communication.

Hopefully once things get closer to a state of normal they can get their stuff together moving forward.

@esaravo Its a great idea. I've been having books graded two years and had never seen them. I like the extra protection it gives.

they will stay at that status until they are sent from the Oakville location to your home address. Hard to tell from that status just where they are really....have they been sent from Dallas...are they already in Oakville just waiting to be sent??? who knows!!
will our latest lockdown prevent books in Oakville from being forwarded either to Dallas or after grading back to their owners???

Got “Shipped” notification this morning. Pretty nice TAT. Thanks CBCS for transforming the other guys slabs to CBCS Certifications.

sent in an order that tracking says arrived on Monday last week but its now a week later and the order has not been marked as received. seems like it normally doesn't take this long. should I be concerned?

I sent comic books which arrived in Oakville on December 4th (as per Canada Post tracking) and my status is still set as 'Submitted'. I emailed customerservice@cbcscomics.com 2 weeks ago with no response whatsoever and just emailed again today. Should I be concerned? Is this normal? We're talking 6 weeks since they received the package.

I too am getting concerned.... books sent Nov. 20 and another batch sent Dec. 10 both batches have not been marked as received..... (marked submitted). So I am holding off on further submission...

Collector Namrepus28 private msg quote post Address this user
@salperalta Totally normal this past year. Keep emailing until you get a response. It took me two attempts spaced a couple weeks apart. It's particularly bad when submitting to the Canadian office. My advice is to submit directly to the US while the pandemic restrictions are in place. (and no, there's no warning on the website for you to see before submitting, I know. I had the exact same problem.)

@dalvar See above. I too have held off on what was to be another submission as I put in two batches in August and am still waiting on the 2nd one to get back to me. They are absolutely working on it and the status will change at some point, but the communication is little to none. I suspect they are severely understaffed in their customer service department.

I was able to get a hold of someone via telephone today and I did get confirmation that they do have my books in possession.... thank God. They are supposed to notify me of what the delay is in payment however. At least I know they have them. That was my biggest concern.
