My order of 20 modern comics shipped today! I mailed the books to CBCS on 9/28, and USPS said they were received on 9/30. So that’s probably about 8 weeks TAT when you consider holidays.

Good news, I got an email saying my books have been graded and heading for encapsulation. Shouldn't be too much longer, maybe an early birthday/Christmas present? Thank you CBCS!

I'm not going to peek at the grades either, I want the surprise when I open the box.

My 2nd submission from Sept is on its way home woohoo!! I have 11 books and my wife cheated and looked at them all and said I only have 1 8.0 and that was the only low 1. So im hoping for good grades this time around.

My Modern submission was received in TX just over 9 weeks ago today.

It moved from Received to Grading 12 days ago and is still there at the moment.

Here's hoping they finish up and ship it back soon.

@Namrepus28 - Sounds exactly like my submission, which was in grading for 3+ weeks (but that included Thanksgiving), then went to encapsulation, to shipping, to shipped in two days. Keep the faith, I predict your order will make it to shipping next week.

hey uh......so my tracking shows CBCS Canada received books for the November promo on November 18th.
They have yet to show as received in the system though.....will I still get the CRYSTALCLEAR promo as already applied on the invoice??

Really wish my books would show as received

thanks @StevePaulus !! for the super quick response - apparently my books are safe in hand and are just waiting their turn in the receiving queue

these were for the crystalclear promo and I was especially nervous about some of these books leaving my hands for the first time in a long time...can't wait for in-person conventions again so I can hand deliver to the CBCS booth and know 100% there was a safe transfer!!!

Woo! I just got an email saying that my comics that I submitted for the Parillo, Mattina signing event back in July have been graded. It took a minute to get them to the main office (obv), but looks like they'll be in my hands by Xmas.

The second submission that was part of my August shipment just switched to "ShiptoCanada" today.

I'm not hopeful I'll see them by Christmas, but if I do that'd be awesome.

No update on grades or points on my account for any of my submissions yet though. Of course, I imagine they're playing the triage game and those things will update in the future when they start getting caught up.

Any idea what "expanded" books are currently being graded? Meaning books received on XX/XX/XXXX are currently being graded. That'll give a good idea where I'm at in line.

My books were marked received on 26 Oct, but there's been no updates since. We're well past the six week mark.

Just curious.

I just received my orders from May and June and I have scuff marks on one comic and another was encapsulated backwards. Does anyone know what CBCS does in this situation? Not sure I want to wait another 7 months to get these back

@JGELL What so they look like? See this thread where I had scuffs, they can be fixed with a little elbow grease. https://forum.cbcscomics.com/topic/13069/page/1/weird-scuffing/#9

Can't help you on the backward encapsulation though.

Sent in two separate orders received Oct 30 one for pressing and one with Consumer and Expanded. Just completing the 8th week with both still at Received. I was hoping 9 weeks (4-6 week TAT) would have been enough time for the gift of encapsulation/grading. My bad! I did not expect the Pressing order to be finished by Christmas but I thought it would have at least gotten past Received.

@Trixster the TAT listed on the website is, sadly, almost never correct. Grading TAT is in the 6-10 week range (it might have been 6 when you sent it in, but the last update said closer to 10) and pressing is much longer. The October pressing promotion said 12 weeks if you used it, which would put you in January before you move on to grading.

Just saw the new Turnaround tab on the website. Great addition to make the TAT easier to find as long as it is kept religiously updated.

I have books sent in on Nov. 20 not even past the submitted stage... should I be worried?

Question: I noticed that the pressing TAT is 18 weeks. Does that time include the time to grade pressed books or would an individual who sent books in for grading and pressing (such as myself) have to add the grading TAT to the Pressing TAT to get the total TAT? If the latter is the case, then we are looking at almost 1/2 year to get pressed and graded books back? (18 weeks + 8 weeks).

@Silverado it is pressing alone. Pressing (and grading) time depends on the tier and if you get fast pass, which you can get separately for pressing or grading. So yeah, if you sent in some moderns/expandeds/consumers with no fast press/pass, expect them back around June/July.

@Blair1999 I have books in since July but are in for the Tynion IV/Mattina/Parillo signing. from what I read on some other threads. The signings are going as well as they can with Covid in the mix on top of parillo's books getting mixed up in someone else batch apparently.

@Qillabee usually adds a week to whatever the normal TAT would be. https://www.cbcscomics.com/estimated-turnaround-times
